Just as long as you don't expect me to be, like, competent or anything. I get through games like F3 and NV with planning, stealth, and precision. None of those lend themselves well to the frantic running and gunning that TF2 appears to demand. I have no idea if spies would be any use at all against the bots, so maybe I could be a half decent engineer? Or a moderately incompetent medic? The game is easy to learn. For beginners I'd suggest the Demoman or Engineer. The Demo can be used to camp with the sticky launcher and get easy kills, and the Engineer can just build things and take pot shots at enemies.
Though, you need to try every class. I didn't know I liked the Scout until I tried it.

Planning: Engineer.
An efficient base plan is key to an engineer. Where you place sentries, teleporters and dispensers and keeping them repaired and guarded requires a lot of strategy and cunning.
Spy requires the three skills you mentioned in spades. In the case of spy, timing as well. When you are playing spy you must learn the movements of the enemy team and then slip into them, while watching your movements as well. You must learn the patterns and roots they move in and then disrupt them.
Medic means looking after an entire team. Managing heals and ubers to wear down and push through the enemy.
Hell, even the Demo has his sticky ambushes.
I am sure, no matter what, you will find a role Sindri.

- Man, I will miss like, 10 % of the story as it will take me a while to recover mentally heh. Anyhow, first I noticed was that the souls was prolly references to something I ought to know. And again with this Seahorse xD And hum, kinda seems like Limbo. And tbh, for one avoiding the topic so much, you really do mention it a lot in PH. And hum... was thinking of something... ah well, I forget stuff all the time heh. And okay, not Limbo, nor Hel, somewhere between Limbo/Hel and hell, I think. And at the "targeting something", I had a pretty good guess who it can be, lets see then... ah well, will have to wait I guess. Would have guessed on Golden, but going how she wanted to cry, perhaps Rarity? Will just wait and see. And hm, we might also should keep track at on how many times BJ has been cut open heh. And I'm still waiting/hoping for that possibly ship to start. Or possibly flesh out, since it seem to have just randomly started, with no beginning. (And yeah, I know wasteland relationships are sped up, but to take a cliche "love at first sight" is just... bleh... it's sadly been leaning towards it though.)
Still, yay, finally something I can ponder about that I don't have to get ticked on. And yeah, Graves did pull a stupid "at the moment" thing, can't overly blame her though. And have to say, not sure why they'd want to find Trixie after she was shown as a fraud, but eh. And a bit pondering why she'd even keep those memories,if she tossed about all else. Rather random that whole part tbh. And oh, it looks like there might actually be some stuff going on here, I think... (also, whole conversation was quiet good), lets see where this goes then... hm... not sure what to take that as... but eh, can hope for it to go better. Then again, 4/5 thing so far hasn't. It could just be me being me, but going with how it seemed about 50-50 or even 70-30, the I dunno, I know I'm alone with quite a few PoV's though, but that one I don't see to be at least hehe. and oooaky? I totally did not get the whole "put on weight" part, was it supposed to be a parody? just funny? a joke? I didn't get it. I'm just going with the other part as BJ being terrible at anything with relationships. I mean, burring him under a pile of rocks perhaps, but "nothing"? Slight surprised BJ expected them to shot him though, had guessed she was going to try to get him ex: exiled instead.
Even more surprised he got to keep all of his stuff, pretty much. I am kerfaffled here. Seems like it took someone with more beak to do stuff though. Can't recall however, doesn't the energy weapons still leave the "stuff" intact? Or does it take the gear too? And not sure I like how you make Griffins out to be. Also, being given the very limited detail about Psycho's bed, that can be taken in several ways yanno? Like, if it had a curtain over it, then it'd be limited to one or two, otherwise? Very many. And again, same old junk. Would at least be good if you ... not sure "spiced it up" would suffice, but at least being varied wouldn't hurt. So far, all we've got has been Rampage stating "sometimes", unless counting a "false rumour". Hum... that reminds me, I better check the ratio on my own fic, think I might have too many mares in it. And that'd be very counter productive haha. But yeah, you are currently painting of the stereotype to much when it isn't even true. (granted, it is your story, and you could fuck it up logic wise, but eh...)

Since all and all, he can't make much noise, he seems to follow orders well, he has an (seeming) incredible stamina/endurance (I can't recall which one is one) and he is exotic. So currently for me, it's like they talking about a cool new sex toy Psycho got to borrow. That or BJ just disconnects from her brain and enters a "durr" mode any time she is allowed to talk sex. She just was more or less devastated talking to a filly asking to be uthenised, and right after goes "I know rite? Isn't it good just taking the Styg for a spin? You can play with it for hours without needing to recharge it!" I can get she wanting to encourage and/or make him feel better, but telling "lies" isn't a very nice way to go. I actually had a discussion with..... someone here I think of the best way to break in a virgin, and telling them they are awesome and doing it right just isn't very nice to do. While that might sound bad, only thing you really do is set them up for disappointment, and if with them again: Yourself as well... man, I totally forgot what I said back then, but the best way really if I recall what I said is to "help" them towards improvement, point out what they did good, and be a bit forgiving with what they did wrong, but point these out in a non-negative manor. And yeah, sure, you could just go with that he magically mastered the KaMule Sutra by wildly thrusting blindly in and out of a catatonic potato sack, (BJ, first round) but that'd just be lame.
Oh, and in case I forgot to complain on this when Glory was, I have to actually say I can't recall it, but I remember it did not have an "introduction guide", and BJ didn't run around bragging how good her marefriend was in bed, which she does now, cept with a brief fling. It might just be me, but I'd see it as much, MUCH better if he did rather suck, and instead when BJ pulled back, Psycho was tutoring him in sex instead, or something. But can say Meatlocker was not a good place to throw it in. Her getting oral would have fit the mood much better tbh, it's more efficient for the "goal" of her recovering, it's much, much more silent, and would have had a better "reaction" when she was busted. All and all, I guess what I was trying to rant for was a bit "deeper/though/meaningful" relations and that there is no shame in being a virgin, we all start somewhere. See it a bit like this: It'd been much more boring if BJ started with 100 in small arms, lockpicking and what have you. I wasn't sure if the scene was supposed to be touching, but I found it rather stupid as in it was trying to hard to be something it couldn't. It's like being linked to almost any death scene in any game or movie, without any context, you don't really know why you should "care". And again, I would say he's an ass, far from even close to Golden level, mostly since he didn't know the mental trauma and difficulties Psycho has, and how easy BJ was to bed, so he couldn't know going for a second flank on his scoreboard is just something I didn't bother with quite much. For Psycho, it was however a heavy blow while Styg or BJ easily could brush off similar encounters. Though, if it wasn't for her being apparently much more desperate for intimacy than I predicted, I'd have expected for her to at least make sure things could work before ploughing him. And wow, way to feel feel ignored BJ, nothing you did apparently matters for shit, but offering to be used for sex apparently meant more than anything you ever did for Psycho. Really Somber, if you wanted to get rid of Psycho, you could have let her die, or just go on a journey to find herself. I know Styg was just thrown in as a jury rigged horny bastard after some flank so BJ could get a chance to learn how to properly be a sack of potatoes again, but this seems a bit overly herped. I prolly should go to bed soon though... I notice I'm leaning towards that attitude again. Plus, Psycho likely can't see shit down there, it's like her falling in love with a Seapony almost. And who says she could even survive down there. Well. I had to stop reading for a moment and just lean on a hand. I would like to question things, (not just about this) but you just avoid me, and it wouldn't lead anywhere anyhow. So I'll just toss this among the pile of stupid, contradicting, illogical and what have you stuff pile, wait for Sindri or someone to comment on it (aka: read the current comments) and see how they explain it so I can understand. Personally not on that level of desperation for sex and intimacy to even ponder it, but as said, better just check comments. And as I don't even understand her at this point, I will mostly disregard the tip to try and aim for canon, it's far to impossible for my writing skill. I don't have much anything specific of yours to quote, but a lot of your comments about BJ's attitude I can sorta some up as just more cases of BJ having ADD and diarrhea of the mouth. I know more than a few people whose attitudes can change wicked quick and it can be jarring to some. For the Boing to PS thing it kinda fits with her character, she's a blunt chatterbox.

The goddess learns new spells from every unicorn she absorbs; that's why Red Eye kept sending her nothing but earth ponies. She's probably assuming that shadow magic is just a collection of spells she hasn't seen before rather than an entirely different category of magic. Effortless teleportation that bypasses normal denial regions and an area-control trick that can hold down Blackjack and co that easily would both be very valuable additions to her repetoire, and who knows what the other batponies can do.

They had such a limited gene pool down there that his sister was considered his most viable reproductive choice. They'd let him sleep with anything female that might improve their chances of surviving another generation.

Psychoshy hates Blackjack. She always has, and it's only gotten stronger since she killed Sanguine. But after pissing off basically the entire Hoof, losing all her friends, allies, and relations, and getting a reputation as the one who tortured and murdered multiple settlements over the course of that little crusade? Blackjack was literally Psych's only option for survival. Until Styggie gave her a viable way out that might even lead to a happy ending. (And she's totally coming back. Like, within the week in-story. There's no way that Stygius is staying underground after what he's seen, given how doomed his people are if they stay isolated. And there's similarly no way that his father won't listen to him, with Whisper applying gentle persuasion via power-hooves to the face of anypony who tries to stop them.)

The fish was cooked, over an open flame on a metal skewer. Blackjack proceeded to eat the fish, the bones, and the skewer.

Well, in Steam I'm OACobalt, so... Overlong Analysis Cobalt = OACobalt, I guess. While nobody I know of played with a full team, playing by oneself is very hard. The robots are dumb but they are many, and the first wave is Soldiers. I couldn't beat the first wave, too many rockets everywhere.

- That really is the only difference between those two, if you don't nitpick in the details. Doof was trying to do better, if you recall his position in Hightower as a guilty independent who stood up for other inmates. His life was defending others, getting beat to hell, and praying for forgiveness. I don't need to tell anyone how familiar that sounds. You could scream about the horrid nature of Doof's crime- and you would be completely forgetting Blackjack's. By this point, she has been infinitely more horrible than Doof was pre-Deus. She raped multiple bucks during her time in 99, and Boing was something that is being deliberately slid under the carpet by her friends and even Boing herself. The only one who seemed willing to accept the gravity of the act was Blackjack, and this is after almost literally drilling the ability to forgive herself for a moment's mistake into her brain.
Oh, but Boing's alive. This means we forgive Blackjack?
What if Applesnack was a bit earlier? If he had interrupted Doof? Should we forgive him because the intended crime went only halfway?
Doofus made me realise how tenuous Blackjack's grasp on being good really is. Sure, she can make these speeches all she wants about how powerful she is and how one good push can shove her over the edge. But it never really hit home until Vanity. Until he played the role of a monstrous, unadulterated, unforgivably normal person. Because a normal person wouldn't forgive. They couldn't give Doof or Blackjack any strength to stay themselves. The character of Vanity is forever going to be in my black book for an act that I myself would have taken.
What if Rampage was normal? What if she was just a mare who loved kids but had a falling out with some guy and had to take a walk, where she met Blackjack? If she was some citizen and not the vessel of multiple ponies including an insane foal-killer, would she be able to forgive Blackjack after Boing? After everything? What if she had sat Blackjack in a room and said, "You're a monster. I never want to see you again."
What if any of her friends had?
If any of them played Vanity, would Blackjack become a Maiden of the Stars, a frothing Reaper carrying Deus' kidney and parts in a shameful recreation of the life he once led?
In a world where the very concept is foreign, forgiveness is not only what Blackjack brings to the Hoof but also the peeling duct tape that keeps her together.
