I'm bored and trying to build up my Blackjack picture folder, so what is everyone's favorite piece of BJ fanart?

I'm personally partial to this one http://fore-trekker.deviantart.com/art/Reaper-296299739?q=gallery:fallout-equestria/33108917&qo=131

That one's real cute, one of the best. I dig the REAPERS 99 uniform, you don't see as much of that. Most of the art out there features her Aegis Security uniform.

I'm still trying to find something where the legs have that white plastic-y enamel look.

Point of interest: Humanity has pretty much the weakest necks and jaws in the animal kingdom. An equine would be able to bite, hold and beat things with a weapon in their mouth with at least as much power and control as we would with our hands. Range of motion is still an issue, and the neck has a great deal less reach than an arm...

Anyway, Blackjack's sword has etchings of unicorns along the blade, so it was probably designed to be used exclusively with TK. She can swing it like an earth pony, but she's nowhere near as experienced with mouth-fighting and the balance is probably all off.

Meanwhile, braid blades would work, but only for earth ponies and zebras; they're the only ones with good enough tail control to pull it off properly without hurting themselves. So Rampage can loop somepony's neck with her tail and tear it off with the razorwire, but a unicorn trying the same trick would probably just bloody their rear legs and cut off half their tail.

She was a Crusader; the organization has always been based at Chapel. It would have been nice is somebody let Boing know about the recent upgrades (triple+ the population, significant trade and salvage, defenses to hold off a mid-sized army, etc.) but she knew that there was a place for good ponies and foals to band together. It wasn't enough to change her opinion of things, and news of Priest's untimely demise (the one completely good pony killed for trying to help) would likely just reinforce her views.
6: Your forgot a draconequis xP And didn't she kiss Lac at some point?
I think so... that's another two for the list. Any more?
8: I'm mostly just ticked with the turnabout for Psycho...
Well, in the real world (or anything other than a dystopian wasteland where the little pockets of civilization that remain hate you) it would be a terrible idea for her to go with him and it would probably end badly. But her options are basically cut down to: die alone, throw herself on the mercy of her victims, stay with Blackjack until it kills her, or take a chance on the pit full of bats. It isn't true love, but it's a guy who's a decent person if far from perfect, a place to live in relative peace... and a queendom of her own down the line.

...
Anypony else hoping that when we next see Whisper and the batponies she's proven their paranoia right by taking over the caverns and ruling with an iron hoof?
9: Are you missing their huge "DO NOT REVEAL OUR SECRET TO ANYONE!" rule? Yes, having a few random bastard foals that are either half-breed or one of their race would totally not do anything about that...
I'm just saying that there's no reasonable reason to not allow new blood to enter the caverns, especially when their reduced to such a tiny gene pool. Sending Styggie out to impregnate half the wasteland? that'd be stupid. Letting him take a mare back into the caves? You get an infusion of new genes that'll keep your royal family from degenerating into mindless deformed things for a few more generations.
no offence, but she can't really do shit against batponies. In comparison...
Psychoshy was in the top ten Reapers. That's the same tier as Rampage, Deus, and Gorgon. She doesn't have superpowers, she's actually a little below average in terms of durability... and yet she manages to out-fight all comers through sheer skill. She took down and nearly killed Blackjack in single combat, dodged through a bout of shadow magic that incapacitated the entire rest of the party, pretty much single-hoofedly kept Sanguine alive and in power for years despite all the many, many people he pissed off... we're talking like a 10/10 Barbarian/Rogue or a top level monk or something. Versus a bunch of bats with lots of magic and training, but no experience (call it level 1-5 with LA +4-6?) It would be a walkover if she decided to fight them. Literally.

I agree with pretty much the rest of what you said.

I had the impression that Blackjack usually used shotguns. Maybe if I wasn't stuck in a pathetic, un-productive, museless state, I'd actually read the damn thing and find out. That's some cool art, though.

She did pre her mom's pistol and the two others. BJ went through shotties like candy.

I hope her proclivity for them will come back at some point. There's something I find... intensely erotic about shotguns for some reason.

She really likes shotguns, but they aren't always optimal. She tends to use pistols for precision or rapid-fire work, and over time she's gone through dragon claws, swords, bottles, the bones of her enemies... generally whatever she can pick up and hit people with. And she goes through shotguns rapidly due to the prevalence of specialized ammo in the hoof (all of which is bad for the mechanisms) and the toughness of most of her opponents.

Lets eliminate the obvious Freudian aspect and consider this: Shotguns are terrifying without even firing them. The sound of racking a shell is pretty much concentrated terror, usually enough to put a foe in their tracks. The other aspect of course is that it's explosive death.

Not only that, it's pure mutilating stopping power. A bullet does the job but buckshot puts shit down. In a way, it's a protector's defensive weapon and that's what Security does. It's pure vulgar... hrm, ahem, I uh... oh yeah, Breaking Bad just finished on the DVR... excuse me.

You're excused.

The closest any of my OCs come to this kind of crazy is a unicorn mare named Torchlight. A pyromaniac. Her ability to conjure fire with great ease has almost burned down everything more than once, usually to show off. She uses her fire in combat to great effect, but my story with her in it sucked, like everything else I've managed to write. I like her character though.

While I'm really partial to pictures of Blackjack in the Reapers armor, this one is probably my favorite. It just seems so, so right.

After she got Vigilance and Duty / Sacrifice she favored them over other weapons. I remember that there was a particular model of shotgun she wanted. An IF-98 I think it was? I hope she finds one. The scene would probably play out like a kid finding that one present under the tree come Christmas day.

*edit*

Wow Ryx made both those pictures? I really liked both those pictures when I came across them, but never found the source. There needs to be more PH art that isn't Blackjack. While I like her, her team mates are getting left in the dust art wise. Its hard to find a new picture of P21 or Lacunae (that isn't in lingerie at least)

In truth I really needed to swap out my steam picture. The Tyrael picture just wasn't cutting it anymore since Diablo 3 really didn't impress me. It does make a swanky icon though and that gallery hosts a nice amount of profile pics. I liked the weathered BJ cutie mark so much I chose it for my current avatar.

- Ah, okies. I know Wu-jen I think has a spell that immolates everything that fails a reflex save if you look at them. Met a zombie horde, zombies do not do reflex saves, looking is a free action.
- So far my plans are to beak their arms and legs, then pelvis, then light them on fire. Seems legit, yes?
- That's too bad about the pringles, i'm sorry it didn't work out for you, ma'am
- yeah, it really was a major downstep for Pelor, i mean, not to say crops aren't important, cause they are, but still...
They also got rid of St. Cuthbert entirely in 4th edition, and he was a totally awesome god of vengeance and smiting and stuff...
- Now that reminds me of a different character i played once, a ghost basilisk... he would come up through the middle of the floor in crowded rooms and roar to make everyone turn and look at him, and then be able to use his stone-gaze on them as a free action for their looking at him (his roar also gave them a penalty to the save heh).
- Sounds like a solid plan! Just don't forget to stab them too, to make sure they get the point.

Tried various stuff from the internet (like replacement graphic dll's) and did 2 reinstalls, doesn't work. What do?

After she got Vigilance and Duty / Sacrifice she favored them over other weapons. I remember that there was a particular model of shotgun she wanted. An IF-98 I think it was? I hope she finds one. The scene would probably play out like a kid finding that one present under the tree come Christmas day.
Hello lurker. Welcome to the Sombereroes.
The IF-98 Ironpony I think it was, but it was 'never produced' and in a 'coming soon' state when the megaspells detonated.
She really needs a special(and reliable)shotgun. She goes through them like mad!

Doesn't mean she couldn't find an experimental prototype of it in a weapons testing lab or some shit like that.

I had a chat with Lateral, Admiral, Ryx, and Cobalt in the steam group chat and decided to make an account after Lateral threatened me with doomsday weapons made a very convincing argument. I'll be sticking around and posting so I hope all of you will share the magic of friendship with me.

Welcome down, I do hope you enjoy your stay and remember watch out for falling boats.
