Except it's true that you're a good writer. I've never written anything that I didn't mess up at some point, so I'm convinced it's gonna happen at some point.

I'm terrible at giving advice, and you didn't ask, but I suggest not worrying about it, lest it lead to the very thing you're worried about. Practice makes 'perfect', after all, don't be afraid to learn on the fly. Even when 'perfect' is unattainable in most things, especially the arts, because of the subjective nature of how we like and dislike things, I think 'perfect' can only be the best a person can do in such things. And so far, even if what you've put out isn't your desired level of quality, your standards(or likes) are higher(or different) than the readers here. We humans often put a higher standard on ourselves than others in life, although it's not necessary, it can lead to self-betterment, which I believe to be a worthy result.

I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't make any sense to anyone but me, though. Just try not to worry too much, and don't give up, I guess.

As for you, I haven't got any experience with your other stuff admittedly, but you just won the 500 member challenge for the FOE group. If that doesn't say something to you, I don't know what to say. You shouldn't be looking to the past and worrying about the mistakes you used to make but rather look to the present and the future.
See where you want to be in the future, see what it would take to get there and start working on walking that road today. You'll have improved as a writer as time goes on and you gain yet more experience writing and going through your creative writing classes - something I have never taken, so don't try make out that you'll be any worse than I am.
At least you don't have to entirely rewrite your beginning chapters, eh?

Thanks guys, but this is an issue I've been dealing with for a while, and just found out what the likely cause is a few weeks ago. I appreciate you trying to help, but unfortunately this is going to be my thought process until I can figure out how to get passed it.



Also, I've put up a tumblr for the story so I can put up all the art that people have been nice enough to make for it. Unfortunately, technology hates me and the damn thing is refusing to let me post anything (it takes me to a preview of the post whenever I click 'publish', 'save as draft', or any other option). So yeah, it might be useless anyways.

Bad news, the guy I commissioned has just done himself over and possibly broken his collarbone on both sides, or something like that. So the piece I was looking forward to you seeing so damn much is going to have to wait.

Okay, new chapter won't be out until sometime after I get back, don't know when.

Reasons:

- I had a shitty week and couldn't bring myself to write most days.
- Because of this I didn't want to rush it on the days I did feel semi-good and put out a shittier-than-usual product.

Relax while you can, don't worry about getting a chapter out if you aren't feeling up to par. Or at least try not to worry, I know that I worry about things I shouldn't and it's exceedingly difficult not to.
Nobody is forcing you to get a chapter out quickly, so write at your leisure.

I've STILL not been able to get much further in my writing, and it's frustrating, especially given the reasons why, but that's not a matter for this thread so I'll just leave it as you have my understanding and I hope you feel better soon.
