You know what sucks? When you find a artist you like and want to follow for their art, but turns out all their journal posts are whinny, "This person said something mean to me" posts and the website doesn't have a option to just block their journals.
As bad as deviantart is they at least let you ignore someone's journals if you find them annoying or such.

This is kinda cool. It's not spectacular, and it's raw imagery, but still. Not something you see every day. Or, well, I guess it kinda is, but not from that perspective.

Hey, at least you're not in the middle of the Antarctic! -135 degrees Fahrenheit. That's a bit nippy. In my neck of the woods we had some really cold weather - I don't think it was ten below, but it was negative IIRC this morning - but it's not so bad. I mean, we're getting more snow, so hey!

Hai. 8 weeks in and we have already lost more than ten percent of our original numbers here, mostly for medical reasons ; though most of them will come back later. By the time we reach the end of the 16 weeks, it's estimated we'll only be around 60% of our original numbers.Mister Frost wrote:I'm out until Jan 4, which is when HBL ends anyway. I must add that this is only the first phase of the training. After that there the Specialization training, which hasa between 20 and 60% failure rate, depending on the specializations in question : I know mine has around 50% of failure throughout the 42 weeks of formation.

Whelp, I finally died in my dreams for once. I've survived a lot of things in my dreams, meteor impact, fallen out of a plane while in a car, attacked by giant mutant large mouth bass in the strangest version of Deep Blue Sea ever, but I died last night.
Most details elude me but the part I do remember was chasing after a train on a bridge and it started to derail. So what does my brain have me do in response? Video game quick time event style parkour. That did not go well with my back up against the side of one train car and two others sliding towards me with no chance of escape. Time slowed, I mentally kissed my ass goodbye, impact, I woke up.
And all I can really say is, damn.

I rarely have coherent events in my dreams, just weird-ass vague impressions or sequences (like my dream of my First Sergeant being a dolphin).
Anyway, the artsier types might enjoy this little short.

Gummy damn it, now we're back to the "too many posts per day" quota...
@EP: (Superman) Darkside and that doom guy are a match for him. Point being, Superman is "challenged". This guy made a point about it:
BJ is a somewhat in between. While the septic avenger, aka: explosive diarrhoea man is far from a mary sue in comparison.
In the words of his creator: (supermans) He is as strong as he needs to be.
@OAC: (science) Considering it's current focus is on shit like: this . I wouldn't see an issue to focus on. It'd be better than the current. But yes, it would be cool.
@Tytan: (comic) *Snrk* That comic actually got a laugh out of me xP Like the SMBC comics x3
@Swicked: (death) Only comics would think of the idea to put tits on a skeleton xP
(superman) Actually, Luthor is smarter than superman, it's canon. Sups is however a genius. But batman is supposedly a better tactician. Mainly because blue has so many mental locks on himself.
(pink eyes) To what I recall, I found it quite decent, was a bit up and down. Like all FoE I've read so far, it had the "x would have been better and made more sense with y" in it. I did have a cameo in one of my fics for two no-named characters in it however xP In terms of echos, can't overly get people that does that. Like, yes, PH sucks severely in a lot of cases. (and has some ups, but many of them are either a cover of something bad, or out-shadowed by something bad) No need to remind everyone on a daily basis. Think 2 gave the best evaluation on that. In terms of Somber... I don't recall clearly, but to the few interaction I've had with them, they didn't impress me one bit... also one of the few people I at certain places reached a stage where I even regretted supporting them with donations as I didn't think they deserved it in hindsight. (even if I thought they did at the time. Slightly in the "what did I even see in them?" manner. Except they did use to have something interesting going on.) Not to any large degrees like the "hey, we spent your charity money on underage hookers and blow!" but more on the "we spent it for cab faire and dinners".
(frozen) Been wanting to see that tbh... and the lego movie.
@cb5: (data) yeah, can say I seem to meet a lot of those in regard to my comments.
@Mele: (frozen) Hum, didn't know that. But seems like the regular shizz tbh... "Brave" did really well in comparison to most stuff imo to what I recall. But that said, considering it was 5 months ago, it is possible it's made on assumptions. Which tbh, is somewhat justified, but can't be 107 % accurate... unless it's a M night shamalang movie xD
@cb5: (frozen) I will if it's good. Gotta watch it first xP And I generally try to enjoy good things, as long as nothing was utterly fucked over in it's making, or has some entirely lacked effort part. Like almost all bad, good porn... or is it good, bad porn? Never recall which goes where...
@Iron: I'll just avoid commenting because I suck at saying useful stuff in such situations. But just noting that I read it.
@Moody: (dream) I never dream (or recall them at least) so eh. Can't relate.

Speaking of dreams, this came up recently to me and I forgot to ask...
Can you be Lucid Dreaming if you don't know you're dreaming? I've never Lucid Dreamed before so I didn't really recognize the signs, but similar to Frost none of my dreams are coherent in the slightest - less like a movie, more like an art piece. This was my first dream in memory that was actually unfolding as real life would - In the dream I very much thought it was real.
I guess I was... conscious of my actions, but not aware that I was dreaming... Does that make sense?

The closest I've gotten to dying ina dream is getting shot in the head. I've been shot, stabbed, drowned, thrown off a cliff, strangled on several occasions, hanged, gutted, and blown up; just to name the recurring ones.
