So, I took a look at the starbound races over on the wiki. And for the most part they look pretty cool though I don't really understand why the star people and the robots have male and female genders while the plants are completely unisex.

When I read short description of them there I found it kinda funny that the Fish people were herbivores. So they'd eat the plant people? Not that the plant people can complain they seem to eat everything and everyone.

I meant how far back in the cycle you're going. All the way back to the beginning, or the last stage/phase you completed.

No idea. On one hand, I've done all the training events up to Blue Phase, but on the other, I believe I heard the Drill Sergeants mention that getting sent out on con-leave is a restart rather than a recycle. On the plus side, though, Alpha's starting their own cycle around the time I get back, and they're probably the most famous company on Sand Hill
