Not really sure what you're saying, on one hand you seem to be suggesting this is a big deal and on the other you say steam already offers similar content making it not a big deal.

If Steam said "Eh, it's not really the type of content we want to offer on our platform" (I mean generally, when we were talking about Hatred months ago it wasn't violence in general. It was Hatred specifically they had a problem with.) That's not society or the games industry saying "Ban this sick filth" (afterall there's nothing legally getting in the way of them making this kind of game... Maybe I can't claim to know the laws of looking at cartoon tits across the states. Though since it can be put on Steam I assume legally they're fine) That's Steam deciding what kind of content they want to sell on their platform.

It's like suggesting society has a problem with porn until youtube starts hosting it or until wal-mart starts selling it next to whatever action release.

Played more MGSV and now that I have played more of it I found some of the more annoying aspects. A lot of the building and item/weapon development acts like one of those free to play phone games, although it takes less time you have to actually be playing for that time.

Not only that some of the staff management elements take time as well, for instance those recruits you extract to the brig take time to be "convinced" to join your ranks. Even if they were a recruit you accidentally extracted, or someone who had less than desirable stats you were forced to extract for an objective, and you just want to dismiss them you'll have to wait to do that.

RTO problems:

The month and a half preceding field problem: everything works perfectly with no issue.

Day one of the field problem: several amounted radios go down and the SKL, the tool absolutely essential to fix those radios, suffers a catastrophic failure such that the company commo rep deems it unusable for the rest of the field problem.

It gets longer. The longest one I've seen is 2.4 hours (I've heard the wait can be a day or so for FOB contruction. Not sure and I personally don't care about that anyway.) and you're completely right, it doesn't match the time of some of the  "free" to play mobile phone games.

However, the difference between the mobile phone games and MGSV is that aspects like construction, development, and combat deployment continue when you're not playing. In MGSV they only continue while you are playing.

The brig and material processing might continue while you're not playing and maybe you can tab out on PC and do other stuff while you wait. But I have it on console and there's a limit to how much time you can kill.

As for AI I've seen them do some pretty cool stuff, for instance I made the mistake of walking into a spotlight and the guy in the tower held me under the light while he called for two other guards to check where I was hiding.

That being said difficulty really drops off as time goes on, even the no kill stealth approach becomes laughably easy if you don't care about your mission score/or are playing in free roam where there is no score.

Don't worry, their test doesn't factor in family history, diet, exercise, etc. It's a single data point. It claims to be able to predict the onset of diabetes seven years ahead of time and that there's nothing I can do to lower my risk (when what they actually mean is there's nothing I can do to change the makeup of my eyes, which is at best an indicator and obviously not the cause of diabetes).
Basically, it sounds like snake oil. I just don't get what they're selling given it was being run by a place that sells glasses.

They're selling it as an indicator to how good your eyeballs would be on toast.

The thing is, given my... work environment, starting HRT might mean being laid off for "medical reasons". So I'm waiting to get some technical qualifications first under my belt, just so in case I need to have to go back job-hunting again.

Basically, I'm going to have to assess risks-and-rewards, and take a gamble.

Not an optimal situation, but I tend to be... serviceable with these kind of exercises, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
