I guess. Feh.
A colleague thinks they might have wanted me to "show my work" and explain my reasoning more.

Tales from the borderlands finale:

While it seems the series can never quite escape the curse of the disappointing Vault Monster, it was a bit more emotionally satisfying than the other entries were, character-wise. They're definitely setting up several of the characters as the next generation of Vault Hunters (Sasha and August, at least; maybe Loader Bot and/or Gortys). Granted the increase in story focus as the games go on, it's likely the next entry to the series will focus on the Hunters primarily searching for Fiona and Rhys and wherever the hell they went from within the Vault

Not really relevant anymore but Guard reminded me of another male AI in the Halo universe. Roland is on the UNSC Infinity during and after the events of Halo 4. He doesn't really do much though and ends up getting outsmarted by Halsey enabling her escape.

Could someone explain why there are so many syrian refugees?
From what I understand their country is in the middle of a civil war. Bombings, drafts, and one article saying several hundred thousand people killed, many civilians.
Which has resulted in upwards of 11 million people fleeing the country, which is about half their population.

I just feel like I'm missing something here... the response to a civil war is everyone leaving? The government and rebels both allowing it and all these people not resisting these groups they have to vastly outnumber?

I don't mean to downplay how horrible their situation is, I just don't remember the response to civil war typically being mass exodus. I didn't hear of Afghanistan or Iraq being like this, so I feel like I've got to be missing something about the situation that explains why Syria is being emptied.

What is different than other upheavals like this? Because Europe seems to be responding to this like they have never seen its like ever before.

I couldn't tell you the root cause, but I know that in addition to the direct effects (European citizens are being attacked and beaten or raped by refugees with alarming frequency) several terror groups have openly stated that they mean to walk right into Europe posing as refugees.

...so you suppose this was engineered to a degree? The extensive volume leaving Syria is because they are being encouraged to in order to enable attacks?

Nope. This has been my main thing since everyone migrated here from EqD. Especially where general purpose foruming was concerned, I never really had anything else.
I'd be interested in other ideas as well.

Sorry, Swick. Been on Staff Duty all day.

I could definitely see groups engineering the Syrian refugee situation, yeah. It wouldn't surprise me if reports start coming out from intelligence agencies on the matter.

As for other forums; nah, I don't have a lot of ideas. I don't frequent many other forums; though I'm happy for suggestions

On the Syrian thing, coming from a position of great ignorance, I'd guess it might in part have to do with being right on the Mediterranean, and a more compact, dense country. More places to go, easier, and less difficult to leave the country in the first place.

Actually, IIRC, millions of refugees have fled Afghanistan since 2001 (to the point where until now it had been one of the biggest source of refugees worldwide), and before. The only reason you have probably not heard about it is that most of these refugees have gone to Pakistan, and other countries neighboring Afghanistan.

As for the reason why there are so many refugees coming from Syria is that, if I had to guess:

1- the country is so divided and there is so much violence going on that the only way common people see to survive is simply to flee the country.
2- the average Syrian is wealthier and more educated than your average Afghani. In fact, those who emigrate to Europe, instead of simply the neighboring countries, are the middle and upper-middle class of Syria.
3- almost all of these refugees are simply fleeing the war, and would be ready to go back to Syria once things go back to "normal". They don't intend to settle here.

From what I've read, amongst refugees from Syria there are 'refugees' from other countries, who is not involved in war. Their goal afaik is simply get to wealthier parts of Europe on back of Syrians and settle there. But I might be wrong, since I've read only few articles on said topic, which might be biased.

Did you have to loot his body to get Maria, or could you get it before, I don't remember?

Cause killing benning with two in the end coming from Maria would be quite poetic

I think you can pickpocket while in casino and then (if you spear him) kill him in Caesar's camp. I don't remember if it'll cause 2 Maria's to spawn. But you know. They all have own weapons of retribution. Benny - Maria. Caesar - Light Shining in the Darkness.

And I totally wasn't wearing Joshua's outfit, while wielding that pistol. Applejack

To be fair, it's the best pistol and (one of the) best medium armor in the game.

Though those days are over, it seems. The new order of the day is creating your own ridiculously insane outfits, armors, and weapons. And I love it.
