Well, I made someone break down earlier... with dignified debate... on fourchan.

Me v 2 anons and I won the debate through persistence and a base so solid that my arguments literally made the other person ask if they had lost the whole thing from the very beginning. They had.

Pretty amusing, if you ask me. Civilised, well thought out, adult discussion and debate. I won and someone had a small breakdown over it.

Personally found it quite interesting. And some parts that were wrong with it would be technically autofixed.

On side note of that, watched a lot of superhero stuff lately. Been disappoint by a few batman movies that played like dumb anime's. And at the wonder woman movie.

(stuff) Heh, got an accidental spoiler for chapter 58 of PH from a "music of the day". No doubt guessing said event was rather likely either plot continence, quite badly performed, or caused by ooc, because. Quite possibly tied to some generic, worn out content. And hum... honestly finding it hard to care due to that and the drastic drop in quality past chapter prior black. Caring about cardboard based on plot conveniences just doesn't do it for me.

(Other stuff) Hey guys, how lame is the name "Centaurion" for a character in mutants and masterminds that can shapeshift into a centaur? xP

I think the sheer number of gay/bisexual/whatever Americans on this forum renders that sort of a non-issue here.

How long has it been since everyone appreciated a little... Equestria Girls?

Hey, frost, I'm curious, are there were any ponies in the show you actually like?
Additionally, of the fanfics you have read, are there any takes on canon characters that particularly appeal to you?

This is sorta an open question to everyone, but I don't recall anyone so overwhelmingly and consistently expressing hatred for the entire cast of the show as frost does.

Huh. Well, as I've mentioned, Applejack was pretty cool. Rainbow was tolerable at worst and entertaining at best when writers remember that having a bit of an ego doesn't turn her into fucking Napoleon.

As far as fanfics go, I like the ones that portray AJ and Rainbow as being, y'know, actually as confident and competent as they are in the show. That shouldn't sound like anything special, but everybody and their fucking grandmother has written a fic in which one (or both!) of the show's two strongest characters are secretly insecure and sad and scared and blah blah blah it just turns into some diatribe by the author about "I'm an emotionally insecure wreck, and therefore nobody is really confident or strong; they're just pretending."

Meanwhile, some fanfics have actually made me even enjoy Pinkie, though mostly be dismantling and reassembling the character the way she was actually originally conceived. No plot-convenient "Pinkie Sense" bullshit, no forth-wall-breaking idiocy (It became popular for a while to have her outright speaking to the author) and none of the outright selfishness and thoughtlessness we saw a lot of in Season 2 (Like taking all the cider and drinking it right in front of thirsty ponies' faces, or harassing Cranky and repeatedly destroying many precious items because she couldn't stand one person not adoring her). The stories that just return her to a relatively average Earth pony that legitimately likes having fun and making people smile make her, at worst, a tolerable or neutral character for me.

I also think Spike is a pretty cool guy when he's not being turned into Twilight's literal pet like in Equestria Girls or into a clumsy idiot like when he worked for AJ or took care of the group's pets.
