We were fighting some giant metal... Thing, when one of its shots clipped your brother's beak. The impact made his beak explode, and took off most of his face with it, I think including his eyes.

Yea. I mean, it wasn't wholly new, there were anesthetic spells before, but those were limited to unicorns and other various creatures attuned to that kind of magic. Really, at first it was little more than some spell-infused plasma, but I guess that got too costly to make as the war started waging.

((By the way, if anyone ever wants a good laugh, watch the movie Reefer Madness. It's an anti-marijuana film from the 1930's, and it's one of those movies that tries to be so serious it's funny. It may have been scary back then, but now it's just hilarious to see what they thought of marijuana; apparently it leads to violent behavior and driving like a psychopath (meaning 45mph) XD))

I can't believe some people actually took that movie seriously at some point. XD
Not to mention they didn't get many of the facts right from what I've heard.))
