((That wasn't a point, but I think it's fine. What I was thinking - why in the name of Celestia, someone (NCR) would send untrained and/or inexperienced group to other country? They(we) should take some local task, where they show themselves like capable group. Or we'll roll with Ragtag Bunch of Misfits logic and assume, that there was nopony else in whole Equestria to take the task. ))

((My theory behind this is that because our group's dealt with so much crazy stuff, that the NCR will automatically assume that the kids will be equally as talented/psychotic.))

((I actually think having a little 'training mission' before hand is a good idea, since I doubt our characters are just going to let their kids go overseas to fight some great big threat when they've had little actual combat experience.))

((My point exactly. For example, Rogue (yeah, I come up with the name for pony, who's tagged skills are guns, sneak and lock picking, original, I know), despite been good shot, even with two pistols, never killed a pony. Mav would never let her go overseas, without knowing, that she can defend herself, even if it means kill other pony.))

((Bandits and slavers, I think. Though I don't know about last one. But raiders will simply become more organized and clever = bandits. We can roll with US West logic. I mean times of cowboys, sheriffs and Indians. If that's okay ))

((I suppose so. The main problem I have thinking about that is that in the 10 year epilogue to the main story, the mention that raiders could be about seemed to create disbelief. I suppose we could have the bandits be on the edge of Equestria?))

((Well, our village (New Hope is now canon?) will be on edge between Deer and Equestria, isn't it? Why bandits won't be somewhere there? And FoE 10 years epilogue could be done somewhere in heart of NCR, where everything are secure and nice.))

((Hmm, good point. And I thought the town was less than a days walk from Tenpony, but was equidistant from all the deer tribes.))

As far as going to Japony, I'm under the impression that the groups parents would NOT be okay with it under ANY circumstances.

Season 2's group however, do not have the advantage of hindsight like our main characters have. Since they're all still young (Young Adults), so maybe one or two of them want to sneak out to join the war, and somehow the whole lot of them get into sneaking out.

At least, that's what I've been planning for >.> For some reason it didn't occur to me to wait until I got your ideas before writing it all up... ))

((Well the theory behind that is that since GoE went off and removed all the radiation, ponies could start farming again and make food for all, so less and less ponies went raider since they don't have to to survive anymore, and so the surviving raiders all got killed. Basically there was no reason for ponies to go raider/slaver anymore, and ten/twenty years I think is plenty enough to weed out any remaining raiders.))

I fail to see that. It's not my story so I can't exactly say much, but human (pony) nature doesn't really work on those principals. I'd imagine their would be raiders or bandits until all of Equestria was united under one rule, sort of like before the war. Unless I'm forgetting that it said NCR did control everything, in which opens up a whole slew more of complaints. ))
