Fallout Equestria RPG Project

Sorry if this has been mentioned already in any of the PH threads or somewhere, tried searching and couldn't find anything so I'm gonna go ahead and assume it hasn't been discussed here yet.



So, I've been ranting a while now from time to time (On Skype, mind you, not here) about how I'd love for a proper (no mod) FoE game to happen, given this I'm surprised I haven't noticed this until now as it is kinda old info (half a year give or take). Nevertheless I think it deserves its own topic in case it actually progresses anywhere.

So, now that's out of the way, it's supposed to be Fallout-1 style, 3D game. As of now it's still in very early stages of development, still working on the engine as far as I can tell as well as working on an editor for the game itself to make custom stories in (you know, like Project Horizons ). There's effectively two to three people working on it now and they're looking for manpower, so if anyone of you is interested, go ahead.

Oh yeah, that. I remember it posted some time ago. From what I do remember, I figured I'd hear more about it if it was making significant progress, so I didn't keep an eye on it.

Hopefully it doesn't die, and ends up being good.

I'd love to have one like the old Fallouts. Nothing like a little "old-school" nostalgia done right. And speaking of Fallout, isn't there a FO3 mod in production at the moment, or has it died out?

That I have been watching. Last announcement was a month ago, I'm not sure if it has died.

I think I'd seen this once on Fallout 3 Nexus. Truth be told, I would prefer fps-RPG style over isometric view-RPG, for me it's more immersive and personal. On the other hand, I've never played the old Fallout games and with the FoE RPG Project I'd finally have a reason to (Ponies, duh), so if any of these two succeeds (or both), I'm gonna be overjoyed.

Well...

For people not keeping up with FoE RPG, there's been a little bit of news about the project.

Also, it seems the Fallout Equestria FO3 Mod team had moved away from modding Fallout 3 and decided to base their game on Unity instead.

Sooo... The Overmare Studios release a pre-alpha footage.
Tons of placeholder stuff in place, the VA could still use some work, pony models still look kinda creepy, but at least they added a tiny bit of facial expressions in the conversations. Like the terminals and pipbucks though.
