The Elder Scrolls: Tales of the Nerevarine

"You could say that. Ponies are always wanting to travel back and forth from there." The siltstrider took a turn, and came out into the region near Pelagiad, slowly making it's way south.

"I'd say..slitstrider is..um..interesting creature. But I saw, I believe, only few of them are they rare..or just this size rare?"

"They are fairly rare. Most of them are tamed, and they only live here on Vvardenfell."

"Have you ever seen a wild one?"

"Yeah. This little fella we are riding on. I found him when I was just a young girl," the dunmer mare said proudly, as they passed just outside of Pelagiad.

"Little fella? They can grow bigger than this?"

"No, that's not what I meant," she said with a chuckle. "He was about my size when I found him in an old cave, taking shelter from an ash storm."

"Ash storm? I believe we didn't encounter any just yet. Can you tell us about it?"

"Ever been in a sandstorm? It's like that, but far worse. Stay indoors if one hits," the mare said with deadly seriousness.

"Well, good to know." He says. "Are wild slitstriders dangerous?"

"You won't find them. They would notice you long before you see them and they'll run off. It takes a lot of effort to catch one. That's why we raise some in captivity."

The mighty beast strode south, continuing towards Vivec. The mare pulled out a lantern and lit it, hanging it from a hook on her bags. In the distance, the group could see lights, but they were too far to tell what they were quite yet.

Ari looked around but especially skyward, "Never know when those flying disease turkeys will turn up."

"Yeah, you sure this thing is safe from those things?" Dalamus asked the Dunmer mare.

"Yes. Cliff racers don't eat siltstriders. They tend to keep out of the way," the mare replied. As they drew closer to the light sources, the group could begin to see the incredible city laid out before them. Large, tiered buildings stood poking out of the water, a series of bridges connecting them. They had intricately designed flags waving faintly in the late night breeze. A few assorted ponies walked around the outer walkways, many of them dressed in a strange, masked armor. The two moons of Tamriel peaked out of the cloudy night sky, reflecting in the water around the huge buildings.

"Welcome to Vivec," the mare said with a smile.

"Wow." Dalamus looked in awe at the city. "I honestly expected it to look... worse."

Ari whistled, "Might need a map to navigate that place."

"Perhaps. I'd suggest looking for lodging though. It's late, and you don't want to be tired in a city like this," the mare said as they drew ever closer to the largest and closest of the towering buildings.

"Any specific direction or should we ask locals?"

"Well, there is an inn on the top floor, across from the fighter's guild."

"To the inn....it would be a decent idea to get some information about this place...." Ari scouted ahead. I have the oddest feeling here. Something unseemly is simmering under the surface here. Bah...at least in Skyrim I was able to see my enemies in the open. 

The siltstrider finally pulled up to the docks. "Here we are. Welcome to Vivec!"

"Thanks for the ride." Dalamus told the mare as he walked off the siltstrider and waited for the others.

Out of the corner of Cienele's eye, she could see a khajiit dressed in rags, being lead by a rather fancily clad dunmer down the road leading away from Vivec. He seemed to be forcing her to go.

Cienele frowns, adjusting her armor, "I'll catch up," She mumbles, heading down the road after the Dunmer and Kahjiit.

Aldarilar watches Cienele.

"Well, I guess to the Inn then." He uses direction, that was given to him to lead group to Inn.

Aldarilar can see some ramps leading up to the top floor of the largest building in front of them. After climbing up two floors, they reach the top, finding a large set of double doors leading inside.

He leads a group inside, what suppose to be the inn he was told of. Aldarilar looks around for anypony, who may be in charge of distributing rooms here.

Inside, he finds that there are several buildings in a large open space. One of the larger ones has an image of a bed on the sign hanging over it's door. several guards are patrolling around, all dressed in ornate, masked armor.

Aldarilar lead the others inside building with an image of a bed on the sign. And now looks for somepony, who could help them with place to sleep.

Behind a small desk is a dunmer mare reading a book. She didn't even notice the group's entrance.
