The Elder Scrolls: Tales of the Nerevarine

Al walked beside Hecate. "You think she found something valuable and run away?"

A loud mechanical clank resounded through the hallway.

"Oh shit."

Four of the portholes opened, and out popped a large metal sphere from each. They rolled up to Hecate, and sat still in front of him, blocking his path.

Hecate shrugged and cocked his head at the spheres before examining one more closely.(6)

Dalamus stood far behind Hecate. "You should probably back away from those, Zebra."

Nakuma tried to say "what was that?" but ended up just mumbling into his hoof. She deadpanned and quickly licked his hoof in an attempt to get it off her face.

"Um...that's just can't be good.."

"Ew." The stallion removed his hoof from Nakuma's mouth

The spheres seem to have steam seeping out of small vents in their sides. But they just remain still, as though they are trying to block your entrance to the rest of the ruin.

Nakuma stared at the zebra for a moment, then finally asked, "why are you in here?" in a whisper.

"Well, they don't seem to be hostile to us at the moment, whatever they are, but they don't seem to want us proceeding. Fascinating machines..."

"I was hired to retrieve a Dwemer Puzzle Box. I've been stuck sneaking around this place for almost a whole two days. I'm running out of food, but I don't want to get slaughtered by those damn spheres," he whispered.

"Some stupid Dwemer joke, I'd imagine," She says, rolling her eyes, "Let's just smash them and get moving!"

"Did you find the box?" Nakuma asked in an excited whisper.

"And what if there's more of them?" He asked. "I'm not suggesting sit here till they got bored, if they can, but maybe there's some way around or something that will turn them off?"

"If there's more of them, we smash more of them. They don't exactly seem dangerous, do they?"

All four of the centurions opened up with a metallic screech, unfolding to look like a metal pony torso with a crossbow for one hoof, and a long blade for the other. They all attacked Cienele, deeming her a threat.

"No. But I did find some fancy cookware and gems."

Nakuma groaned in disappointment.

Dalamus fires his crossbow at one of the centurions.

"Great, thanks to your dallying they got the upperhand!" She shouts at the others, angrily. (14) She lifts her hammer off her shoulder and slams in into the closest construct. (9+2+5-4)

Aldarilar attacked sphere 1.
