Reporting in on the LoL games!

It was a grand old time, in my opinion. :) We had TONS more people than the last time I participated... too many to remember, even if I wasn't shite with names. Some of Aonee's (IIRC) friends joined in, too, and they were nice (and good!). There were plenty of rookies, which was nice to see, too. The first couple games were amongst ourselves, and later there was a game or two with some of the lower level players (and Aonee on a smurf) versus real opponents (one of whom also, unfortunately, was smurfing). Thanks for the games, guys, I hope to see you all again in the game sometime. :)

Left 4 Dead 2 tonight, hope to see ya'll there. Maybe we'll have more luck than Monday's Killing Floor.

Also, how about scavenger instead of Versus? Mix things up a bit.
And try to get some of those Achievements I haven't gotten yet.

All thanks to Derpmind, tylertoon, and Mel for the Green Flu mutation, and those guys plus darkbringer and scyto for the quick and horrible game of Scavenger. In it a random friend appeared and joined my team and we won by two gas cans.

Nobody got a gas can the first round on both teams, the second round was 6 to 5, and finally it was 1 to 0.

Hunters can be very fun. Never be alone.

Hunter Spitter tag team.

Also works with Smokers.

Y'know, spitters are kind of everyone's best friend. They turn what would be a good run into a fatal attack.

Let's see...
Smoker + Spitter. If the Smoker is able to hang the Survivor than the spitter can help bring them down. And if they're incapped anytime before the Smoker's death that acid will keep them from being picked up.

Hunter + Spitter. Pinned and spit on will destroy them. Add in a flaming Hunter, if that still deals extra damage, and poor guy is gone.

Charger + Spitter. Hell of a combo, especially if the Charger is able to scatter the whole group and charge it's target a good ways away.

Jockey + Spitter. Eh... if the Jockey player is good enough to keep the survivor in the pool than that works.

Boomer + Spitter. Depends on the Survivor's tactics. If they're boomed and group together than a Spitter can ruin their day but if they keep moving  it won't do too much more.

Only two I can see that works well with a Tank, and not get killed by it as well, would be Smokers and Boomers. A fleeing survivor that smoked is a prime target, as is a blinded one.

I believe tonight is Minecraft night again. It's on Cptadder's Feed the Beast server again and as always we would like to see as many people as we can show up.

I'll do my best to show up tonight. Depends on how the day goes and how much of the paper I have due tomorrow I get done by game time.

I just moved into college and the wifi is very limited in terms of bandwidth, so I'm probably out of commission until I pick up an ethernet cable

Me too. I don't think it's gonna be up tonight.

Hopefully the minecraft server gets back up, but meanwhile I want to see if we can get enough people for a L4D game tonight. We had enough last week IIRC, so maybe we can do it again.

Whelp, in ~45 minutes I'm gonna send invites to everyone who owns L4D2 to join a game. I can't send out an event announcement, but we don't really need that anyways. I hope to see some of y'all there!

Also, teamspeak! Anyone still having problems getting it running, ask and someone'll help ya. You don't even need a microphone, it's enough entertainment just listening to us yak at each other.

We could try, just as long as we don't do it on a thursday. Yesterday we didn't have enough people show up.

Here's a question: Anyone got ideas for what other times we could run games at? It seems like 8:30 PM Eastern is a bad time for lots of people.

I've thought of trying out The Hidden but never got around to getting it.
