[Perception 9] Azure hears the beeping coming from where the pegasus killed herself
"Uh, Mood. I think ya might want to check her body, I think somethin' is beepin' on her."

*She looks over at the dead pegasus and frowns.* I don't know, we don't need her on the deck though.

((I have a feeling if I have Red push her off the deck she's going to die.))

Moodstone walks over to the dead pegasus and scans her. His eyes go wide.
"She has some kind of explosive devise on her! I'll see if I can disarm it but... I've never done something like this before."

He floats out some of the tools he uses to make bombs, thinking they can be used to deactivate this one and carefully gets to work.


((Obviously I can't just have him disarm the bomb despite the explosive skill of 100, but what should I roll to see how much time he buys them?))

(( If you have 100 explosives then you can totally disarm it. It is a bomb, after all.

Besides, then you get to keep it. ))

((Thought we agreed most of the characters was level 5 or so. Granted that is way too early for a 100 skill even if tagged.

In any case this is also why I didn't just disarm it right then and there.))

((Not if you dump all of your points into that skill you can to 100 by then.))

*She walks over to Mood.* Why are you trying to disarm it? She's already dead.

((Well, Moodstone sure can't do anything at level 1, and even at level 5 he can't make the check without forgoing putting skill points in sneak and melee.))

He puts away the tools and tries to float the body off the ship.
"Because it's a high yield grade explosives! I can't do anything so help me get it off. It's liable to cripple the ship if not kill us all!"

((You was going for high yield wasn't you Scyto? I can retcon if need be.))

I was asking why you didn't knock it off in the first place. *Turns around and bucks the body.*

Azure watches body drop off the side of ship, after a few minutes she realizes what just happened. She looks down, and gets a little teary eyed
and mutters to her self "I...I killed someone."
She stares at the ground

((I hope this is okay, I just assume since she's never killed anyone before it would be a shock.))

Falling through the air, the device goes off. A explosion more then big enough to cripple the ship provides a shockwave enough to rock the ship slightly.

Isaac whistles, "Damn."

Risk frowns, and pulls Azure into a hug, unsure of what to say. "It's okay, Azure. Ya only did what you had to."

Moodstone lets out a sigh of relief, then turns to face Red.
"Thought it could have been useful later."

The ship rocks due to the explosion.
"Though I think that would have been over doing it for anything short of bringing down a Manhattan tower..."

Though she wasn't looking over the edge, the shockwave and the sound of the explosion was more than enough to tell Shayle what could have happened if that bomb had stayed on the ship with them. A slight shiver passed down her spine at the thought.
Her eye caught Felix running onto the deck, his bag bouncing against his shoulder as he galloped to the group.


Felix had been moving fast when he just heard gunfire, but the explosion rocking the ship was more than enough incentive for the colt to pick up his pace. He galloped across the deck to the crowd, looking around frantically for anyone who was hurt and might need a potion.

Azure buries her face into Risk's chest and sobs a little
"B-but I...I didn't even think about, or...Or try some other way to stop them, I...I just shot'em. I'm...I'm no better then they were."
She holds Risk tighter still sobbing.

Shayle searched the sky around the ship, looking for any sign of more attackers on their way to shoot down the ship. Her attention was pulled away by Azure's sobbing, upset about killing the ponies who'd just tried to kill them.
The zebra huffed and turned away, trotting back toward her room.

Inside her head, the mare made a mental note to personally kick whoever had told them they wouldn't see any fighting in the soft bits.

*She cringes as the ship rocks.* I really hope all of the Japonies don't carry bombs like that.

[Moodyman90]

"It wouldn't make sense for them to only have only a hooffull of them to have them so... we're lucky we didn't trigger any of them to go off while we was fighting them."
Moodstone then remembers he was firing grenade rounds at them and was glad he missed them now.

Risk sighs. "I don't think any of us could've talked them out of it. You only did what you had to. Survival instinct. 'Sides, isn't it a medic's job to keep everyone alive? 'Cause I'm pretty sure that you helped keep us alive by shooting back at 'em. I mean...we could all be dead by now. Aren't you happy that we're all still alive?"

[Guest]

*Her expression drops as she thinks about what Mood just told her.* I noticed you having some trouble out there. *She reaches into her saddlebags and pulls out 21.* You can borrow it if you want.

[Guest]

Azure nods
"O-of course I am. I'm glad we're all still alive, and not too badly hurt."
She sighs and tries to calm her self
"I...I think I'll be okay, I..I just need some time."
she nuzzles Risk and continues to hold him, shaking every once in a while

The captain comes back to the top deck, the ship's medic having bandaged his wound, "Son of a... third time in a row, nutcase bastards..."

Moodstone looks at 21. He remembers it use to be Last's revolver and it was given to his dad. He never knew why his dad never gave it to Red before.
"I don't think I should. I've... never been good with guns. Besides... isn't that your dad's gun?"

[Guest]

*Hears the revolver's dark whisper it seems to be begging Moodstone to take it, as if it remembers a similar situation.* That what Mr.Blues said, but mom got mad at him and he wouldn't talk about it after that.

[MrMagma]

"I don't think any of us we're expecting this, Azure. Take as long as you need. And don't hesitate to tell me...or any of us if something's wrong. We all gotta look out for each other, more now than ever." He nuzzles her back, and looks around for any more threats.
