Fallout Equestria: The Kingdom

Novae was looking at her plate with steaks, not sure what to do. Aside from just eating them. Actually eating them was last thing she thought about.
First thing was...
What did I get myself into...

Quiver breaks the awkward silence.
"So... Novae, what was the 'other thing' you mentioned earlier? Unless you don't want to talk about it... of course."
He says nervously.

Sigh.
Novae raised her eyes and looked at Quiver.
"I don't know if you'll like what I'd say...and depends on your reaction...well..some things, important ones, may or may not change."

"Alright... there's only one way to find out... go ahead."

"You've asked for this...." Novae take a deep breath, closes her eyes.
And....
"I like you..."
Novae sits there, afraid to open her eyes.

"You... like me? I like you too."
Quiver says with a concerned tone.

Finally exhales and looks at Quiver.
"Really?"

"Yeah. I didn't think I was really sure about it... until now."
Quiver says with a weak smile.

"Well, that's good..I think. I..I'm sorry if I somehow make you feel uncomfortable."

"Well, I think there's more to be comfortable about now..."
Quiver smiles, then looks at his steak.
"I've never had meat before..."

"I'll be honest with you. I don't like meat... But last time I've tasted what Charcoal made...it was delicious, I even sneak double portion for myself."
"Oh..friendly advice..take it easy, by small bits...since you're not used to this..your body might...react."

"I'll keep that in mind."
Quiver takes a small bite and chews for an extended period of time.
"It's... strange, but tasty. I like spicy food."

"Me too. Not too spicy or I'd eat hot pepper instead though."
Novae struggling to bit off medium piece of steak, with much effort she managed to do so.
She looks at knife, which was lying near her plate.
Facehoof.

Quiver takes his knife in his mouth and carefully cuts a strip of meat off.
"Knives are better for unicorns, I think."
Quiver eats the strip of meat with the same deliberation of the first.

"Yeah..or those who have hands." Novae takes knife in her mouth and starts slicing steak in medium stripes.

"I'm curious... why me? I mean, if you want to keep it to yourself, that's fine too..."
Quiver says after a lengthy silence.

"It's...hard to explain something like that." Novae balances piece of meat on her nose, then throws it in the air a bit and catches it with her mouth.
"At first, when I saw you..it wasn't you, who caught my attention, but rather Pip on your leg. And before you think anything ill about me, no, I'm not doing or saying this all because of it."
Looks at the window for a while. "But then...I don't know...It's...You're interesting to talk to, you're cute, even with all your armor and weapon..."
"Sorry if it's sounds stupid..."

"Oh, no no no, it doesn't sound stupid. Thank you for telling me."
I've never been called cute before...

"I..ummm..you're welcome.." Novae's black stripes on her face turned slightly maroon, while white light shade of red.

Quiver finished his steak.
"It's getting late..."
