What's on TV?

...so, most good shows I've been watching have been either cancelled (Sanctuary, Stargate... seriously SyFy, you can go [bleep] yourself now), are just over (House MD, Chuck) or are shown in another part of the year (Game of Thrones, Lost Girl, True Blood).

So I've had to turn to something... subpar, just to have something new to watch while I use the bike trainer; like the new Nikita.
Sigh.
You know, that other series with the same name that was from Canada: actually had multi-dimensional characters with some depth to them. Which, as of the new series, are instead just predictable and annoying. Like, all of them.
Even the action scenes are somehow more boring than the ones shot in the 90's for the old series.
I seriously liked the references in the last episode more than the episode's plot itself.
(the Mass Effect 2 action figures on Birkoff's table and him going "EXTERMINATE!")

...So what's your take on all this?

Couldn't ya just go look online for shows? There's plenty of stuff out there to get into.

There is The Walking Dead, if you like that, and I like Mythbusters, if you like that stuff. Falling Skies starts in... February, I think.

We need an X-COM TV series.

Murdoch Mysteries ain't bad.

I mean, it's a police show in 19th century's Toronto. That's kind of original in and of itself.

That and it's pretty funny how the writers manage to have the main protagonist be some kind of visionnaire, inventing technologies 50 to 100 years in advance just for the sake of solving a case

NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Top Gear, American Pickers...probably some more stuff I can think of later.

Magnum PI, NOVA, Nature, really any documentaries.

I rarely watch TV, but when Top Shot is quite exciting whenever it's on
