(PHCC)Minecraft server

Sweet. Now to figure out if I should build regular hallways and pathways from tree to tree or attempt to go for the rope bridge look. And then there's how high do I go. There's gonna be at least one tree that's gonna be at the max height of the world.

And go for it Aonee. If need be I'll make a super tree to hide the machines.

Work today was amazing as in 7am to 11pm amazing.
And I'm salaried now so I just get comp time. Which needless to say means time for sleep but first. Good to see fresh people on the server again. Trust me when I say Zany is the expected.

I also promise not to expand towards Stable Zero or Somberville bar natural 4x4 jungle trees that are already close by.

No worries, there's plenty of jungle to go around, some prime trees near the old stronghold (Near Irons) as well as south of the old smelting hub/sheep pens.

I'm currently working with Tyler on setting up a slaughterhouse and renovating the Nether Arena so we can farm mobs.

I still don't have my computer fixed (I currently use my mom's), so I'll be on at random times.

The weekends in general for me. I'm almost done with spring semester so after next week I'll be good for any day of the week provided I'm not working.

Weekend will probably be good for me. Quick question, is the twilight forest in the Ultimate pack?

Cool. If needed, we could probably bring one of the giant trees firm there for the super tree. Or make our sprawling empire there, my friends did once earlier.

Server is down for the next few hours as I get cleaning... then I'll fall asleep and load it in the morning.

I got a new project: A gunpowder farm. What it boils down to is a fall-damage trap for a lvl 5 Creeper cage. The cage is placed high in the air, causing the creepers to fall to their death upon spawning. This sounds dangerous, and it clearly is, but it's easy to take out the cages with a mining laser.

Unfortunately, I can't get the mining laser to switch modes, I even freed up the 'M' key, but it does nothing. It's stuck on Low Focus.

Long term server should be fully rebuilt by tomorrow and we will be back on 24/7 uptime.

We are back on the old server until I get the money together to build a new one (Lets just say sometimes money saved is money you must spend twice). The server is back up up to 24/7 operation.

Feel free to update the launcher it does not impact anything else.

I was messing around with Feed the Beast some more of the weekend, to get a better feel before I really start building my jungle fortress in the trees.

Fuck Gregtech.

We don't have Gregtech, it complicates things and breaks other things. While I like the uranium changes the other changes make most ic recipes take three extra steps.

Right, I think I described it as
"In order to make a drill you need to make steel ingots, in order to make those you need a blast furnace, in order to make that you need to go to the Nether and collect crap from there, which means making a portal where you either use a diamond pick or make a lava mold.

Or, I can turn Gregtech off and use refined iron which can be made by putting iron back in a furnace. "

Gregtech somehow turned itself back on in between game sessions and right before I was messing with a nuclear reactor. I was getting pissed that I couldn't make uranium cells by putting bars next to empty cells, yet I could make "nearly depleted uranium cells" by surrounding a bar with empty cells.

Once again, fuck Gregtech. For the time being if they go back and tweak it for the better.

Even better Mood:
In order to have steel you need a blast furnace. To make a blast furnace you need steel.
And don't even get started on the macerator changes.

Yeah, I know about the macerator. As far as I can help it I'm gonna keep Gregtech off.

And I guess in a bit of irony, despite the fact I've been avoiding using steel at all now just because of that, I found a steel pickax and shovel in a chest. Along with a portal gun.

Mmmm... Long Fall boots are one of the best items in the game. Also, I'm on right not if you wanna hop on.

They may be, but I've been finding entertainment in messing around with my nuclear reactor. For some reason which I can only blame my own stupidity I'm unable to attached six reaction chambers to it and still be able to turn it on.

The fact I decided to put it in the underground pool that was under my base probably isn't helping either.

Oh yea. I remember when my friend made a reactor back in tekkit. His cooling method was about 5 or 6 stacks of ice blocks, continually resupplied via alchemy. Every single other block was filled with uranium, on a six-chamber set up.

Somehow, it worked.

Well, other then Archmage Melek's current Minecraft Let's Play, but that's kinda moot because he only has a normal reactor with no extra chambers slapped on it.

You can always use the tons of public ones we have like the smelting area and adders industrial building

I'm probably not going to have my PC fixed for a while, and the one I use in its place doesn't do well even on low settings.

Tyler, since I won't be on for a while, could you remind me to get back to work on your arena? I don't wanna be an ass by leaving that unfinished, I nearly forgot about it last time.
