"Where else are you going to find guns and armor in near pristine condition? Besides I spent the beginning of my life listening to my dad and his friends various lessons of the wasteland. 'Stay away from Pony Joes. Always check your EFS.' and stuff like that. Not to long after I left 33 Miss Doo hired me to scavenge for her. And through trial and error I found that military bases always have the best stuff. And inactive defenses mean someones already beaten you to it."

((@Katarn I know, 20 years after end of FoE. Around that time Ditzy would still be alive, Absolutely Everything would still be in business, and after the war there would be quite a few military bases(Most would have been raided by the NCR, but a fair number would have been left alone).))
