Because why not. At least this'll avoid posting spoilers into the main chat thread.
If there's story spoilers, put them behind spoiler tags, please. Otherwise, gameplay and setting spoilers, go crazy as far as I'm concerned.
So, over 30 hours into the game, and I got into Diamond City only after a whole 24 hours of gameplay. That's how much shit there's to do if you don't cannonball through the main storyline (already maxed-out Preston's social link by the way).
Also already got 4 suits of power armor, among which two full t-45, a partial t-51, and an almost bare frame with just a few pieces of t-45 and raider power armor on it.
Not exactly a fan of the whole Fusion Core concept, I must say, considering it shits on the previously established canon. And also it doesn't really make sense:
These fusion cores power whole facilities for over two hundred years without any kind of maintenance, but put them on a suit of power armor which drains a lot less energy, and suddenly they completely drain themselves out in only 20 minutes?
I suppose you could try to justify it by saying all these cores are at the end of their shelf life and all that, but that's still a weak ass post-fact rationalization for what is just pure artificial "gimping" of the power armors.
I sure hope there's a way to trade caps for fusion cores somewhere, or even possibly to craft them somehow.
