Clock sat back up and let the water drip off her muzzle. She hadn't actually expected Eve to return her feelings. She wasn't sure what she should do. She wordlessly pulled Eve into a firm yet tender hug.

Cast is cleaning his lever rifle with a rag when he hears Mince. He looks over at the small stallion. "Just thinking about home."

"I can still remember the faces of my brothers, the lot of us laughing, knocking eachother senseless, getting into trouble, and doing our duty. I used to have a photo of all of us, but I don't quite remember where it was put." he says in a happy tone, staring down at his rifle.

Cast chuckles when he see's Mince's face. "Relax, I've been over it for a while. It's just nice remembering them." he says with a smile. "Call me crazy, but I actually liked being in the service."

"Things could be rather dreary at times, but it did have its interesting moments. For instance, we can't make robots, so we make living machines. The time we got our first Ironclad was quite eventful, one of my brothers pissed it off and it chased him all over the base." He starts to laugh. "Poor bastard screamed like a little filly."

"One part machine, one part magical animation. The result is a machine with its own consciousness." he explains. "Pure-blood Germane are weak at spells, so we had to meet the concept of the robot half-way."

"Practicality and resource-management. Ironclads carried our anti-aircraft and field artillery, but they need to be watched like a child, use a lot of steel and gems, and the few mages powerful enough to enchant them are heavily strained by the process." he replies. "Soldiers, on the other hand, can still point a gun and do as they're told nearly regardless of what happens."

He shrugs, "You seem like the type. You've got that, rough, stallion exterior that takes no compliments!" To illustrate his point, he thrusts his hoof in the air and poses heroically.

It looks ridiculous on his puny body.

"But." He says, lowering himself back into a sitting position, "I know you're just a big softy on the inside. All Stallions are, in a way."
