Cast would not sleep well that night. In his dream there was no scenery to observe, only the roar of gunfire echoing across a battlefield, the rumbling and clanking of armored vehicles, and the shouts of Germane soldiers over the racking of bolts and the chugging of machine guns. Through it all, the one sound that stood out was the shrill, loud voice of foreign horns.

As the hazy light of morning overtook Dirtside, the mares and foals slowly awoke and looked around sadly. They were home, but it wasn't truly home anymore, not without their fathers and husbands to make it whole.

Cast hears the boom of a cannon and instinctively grabs his rifle as he bolts awake, looking around frantically looking for the source. His face looks almost terrified. However, to his relief, it was just a dream.

Novae was lying before Clock. Just looking at her, while hugging own tail.

Clock just looks at Novae for a while. Then she leaned over and hugged Novae, "I'm sorry baby. No one should ever have to see that sort of thing. Especially not you."

His breath is frantic yet controlled. He looks over at Mince, his eyes still filled with fear and slight hopelessness, and nods slowly. "I am remembering zings zat I had zought vere long gone." he says with a gulp. "Just keep somezing in mind...never fight Janissaries."

Tears start forming in her eyes. "I...I should've be used to this...I mean...I'm explosives specialist. I saw ponies become paste..but in...that building...It..." Began to sob.

The can is wrapped in a gold aura as he takes it in his magic. "Zank you." He eats what's left quickly and tosses the can to the side, wiping his face with a hoof afterwards.

Quiver wakes up, having fallen asleep where he stood guard during the night. Brushing the dirt off of his barding as best he could, he sits down by the wagon, lost in thought.

"I'm sorry...I didn't know to whom I could go." Novae wipes her tears in Clock's chest. "You was there...you'd understand...If I'd tried to bring this to Jayne..he'd just grab me and walk away from all of you...and I don't want to go." With last small sob she looks at Clock. "Thank you...I'd be my...'normal' self soon enough."

Searchlight raised his head off the counter. He searched his bag for a drink, but remembered that he had thrown away all his whiskey. "Right, so much for breakfast." He mumbled to himself. He floated out a bag of carrot chips, ate a few chips as he got up and made his outside.
As he walked out he noticed Quiver sitting by the wagons and walked next to him. "Hey, Quiver. How'd you sleep?" He asked before eating another chip.

"You're welcome..." Clock looks to change the subject, she sees Jayne splayed out on his back in a drunken stupor, "Maybe we should roll your dad onto his stomach so he doesn't drown in his own vomit."

Nods. "Or wake him up..." Looks at Clock. "If something happens, blame me or you might get hurt." Novae said with serious face. "We should totally paint his face and then pour water on him...and laugh..and run...a lot..both of it." Novae says with grin on her face. "Though seriously, yeah, let's roll him at least on his side."

Snore.

Tumble lifts his head and before anything else he floats out Flower. He gives the filly a light shake waking her from her slumber.

Flower stretches and yawns in the telekinetic field. After a few moments her hooves touch the tent's floor. The filly appeared to have had a particularly restful sleep, she practically skipped after her 'father' as he walked out of the gate towards New Appleoosa.

Pushes harder, but barely manages to lift him a little.

Snores. Pulls his wing and tries to cover his head with it like with blanket.

Cast Iron racks the bolt on his rifle and pistol and inspects them to take his mind off of things. "I'm still not sure vether or not I care..." he says to himself grimly.
