Unless it'll actually be plot relevant, no. Nobody in the fics were really able to tell straight out that an item was a soul jar, so I see no reason to give the deer ANOTHER skill with a really specific purpose that only gets used on rare occasions if at all.
Also, if anything, since there's a lot of similarities between soul jars and totems(which are spirits contractually bound to a certain object), the most they'd probably do is think it's a simple totem.))
