In Memoriam Eorum

So I need a little break from Shadow of the Eclipse and all of the 'Ice Crystal' storyline, so I decided to work up a chapter from an idea I got and actually enjoy quite a bit.
I apologize if anyone is upsetted by me taking a hiatus from my other story for this, but the work would only suffer if I forced myself to do it.
Here's the first chapter of the new fic. Please let me know what you think and if you notice anything I need to edit
and enjoy!

(that's right, Latin titles. I'm goin' all civilized on you folks

The title has something to do with the illusions of nature if I'm not mistaken, right?

I do not believe so.
The chapter title roughly translates to "Born in the shadow of twilight"
The story title is roughly "In memory of them"
