Zelda Timeline revealed!

Ok,so for those who are like me and have played a lot of Zelda games,it feels like there should be a timeline.Well Nintendo is releasing a book on Zelda history and it has the timeline in it!The main timeline goes...

Skyward Sword>Minish Cap>4 swords>Ocarina of Time...

Ocarina of Time is where a time split happens.There are 3 splits...

Link defeats Ganon (child)
Majoras mask>Twilight Princess>4 swords adventure

Link defeats Ganon (adult)
Windwaker>Phantom Hourglass>Spirit Tracks

Ganon defeats Link
Link to the Past>The oracle games>Links awakening>The legend of Zelda>The Legend of Zelda 2

That's interesting. I never knew there was a split.

The idea of Twilight Princess happening after Majora's Mask makes so much sense to me...

The idea of link failing at finishing his job in Ocarina of Time does not work in my mind, but maybe it makes sense to others.

Everthing else fits PERFECTLY though, and I love it.

Ganon defeating Link is like a parallel ending I guess,one of which most people didn't even consider...

but then couldn't we take ganon defeating link as a parallel ending to them all? thats why I don't really like it.

I read somewhere else that they think it's more along the lines of, the sages sealing ganon without Link's help/interference with the outside world, or maybe just ganon never successfully took control of hyrule.

Well if you think about it, 7 years into the future, adult link defeats ganon, but majoras mask takes place right after when you are returned to your original time, so some games take place after adult link defeats ganon, and some take place after link leaves hyrule in "his own time"
