Fics set in 30 SR: Would you read it? Empty Fics set in 30 SR: Would you read it?

Testing the water with this one. I have a 30 SR-related WIP that's been in my metaphorical drawers for a while, and given:

1 - in need motivation to practice my writing
2 - I have few ideas for actual stories to write [which I feel comfortable writing a whole piece of fiction about at this time]

I was wondering if people may be interested in reading a whole story based on said WIP?

Here's the thing as it is as of the moment I hit the "send" button:

Big City Life - Prologue
Big City Life - Chapter 1 (WIP, incomplete)

So, if I were to start investing in it and extend it into a full-blown fic, would people be interested in reading it?

Heads up, I would probably rewrite at least in part what's been written already. Correcting a lot of syntactic & vocabulary errors and some other style awkwardness.

Argh, sorry, but I don't have time for this now and am still trying to clear my backlog from EFNW.
(I imagine I'd be much more excited about it if I had less going on, though.)

Isn't it a bit premature doing this before the post-PH review, though?

Again, very sorry; I would like to read what you've posted, but at the moment I'm fighting to not actually add it to what already feels like an overstuffed queue (I might get through it more quickly than I expect, but it certainly feels big at the moment. And also I'm currently somewhat low on sleep.).

...Hm. Did you post this prologue, or part of it, before? The beginning's sounding very familiar.

Yes, I think I remember this now. Though you're expanding it here, of course. :)

What is this "hot spice" stuff, by the way?

Spoiler:

And finished. So yes, unsurprisingly, I'd be interested in reading a whole story based on this (Though not right now. Preferably some time when I've more sleep and less else to do. Well, okay, I'm interested now anyway, but you know). :)

Well, I'd probably wait until the post-PH review anyway, yes (if only because it's most probably two month away at most). I don't think it would have much influence on the story itself, but there can always be surprises. At least that would leave me time to work out the overall plot-line, which for now is... the vaguest of vague.

And, yeah, it's full of typos and stuff. For example, it should have been "that would launch us into Mane Street". It's been a month or two since I wrote that prt, so I don't remember if that was a way of saying "mainstream", or if it's a reference to Tenpony's Borough "Mane Street" (kinda the equivalent of Broadway / The Strip, I suppose).

Ah, thanks.

Even with all of that, though, this is a good start, I think. :)

Thanks! :)

Well, I'll see about it, then.

Gonna start working on the overall plotline. I already had one earlier, but it was only, like, Act 1, with no Endgame in sight. I was actually thinking about maybe turning it into a serial. Though the 1st-person perspective would put a hard-limit on what I could do story-wise with such a format.

Pondering maybe switching to 3rd-person narration. Though I think I'd lose a lot of reader appeal in a story that's so far hugely character-centered. Like, in 3rd person narration, who the hell would care about a boozed up loser that barely one step above a hobo?

Yeah, I'm most probably going to stick-up with 1st-person narration. Gotta think about an endgame for the story, though. Or at least a good end point to end it. Or a "1st Book" at the very least...
