Formis' Epic visual torture

Welp, I plan to post here my drawings. For now only sketches probably, until I'm capable of something decent.

I say the ponies look alright. I'd suggest making a single dark line over the sketched lines, so it looks more clear. But that is just a suggestion.

I'm not good at drawing single lines, it always looks weird. :D
Here's an upgraded version, will add some shading and try to re-do the upper one as well.
Not looking forward to drawing this head from that angle though. :D

Yeah, drawing at an angle will be tough the first couple times. But the more reference pics you have the easier it will be. I'd just suggest practice.

Well, here is what will probably be the final version. Maybe I'll add wings and Cutie Mark later, maybe not, depends on my level of laziness.
The mane and tail are kinda unfinished, because everytime I tried filling them with some hair texture or whatever, it ended up looking terrible, and I still don't like the shading.

I think it looks fantastic. I am guessing you colored this digitally? Either way it looks really good Formis.

The shading could be smoothed-up a bit more, but it's already quite good as it is, and it give up a good impression of volume, especially on the tail, where it's just-subtle-but-effective.

Apart from that, no negative criticism about the pose or anatomy : it's good.

Yeah, it could be smoothed more and wouldn't be probably even that hard, I just used around 7 layers with different shades of gray, then merged and blured them, so all I'd need to do is add more layers between them. I can do that later when adding wings and cutie mark, because I probably won't like it anymore anyway at the time (I don't like it already but it's still bearable).
As for the tail and mane, I tried adding something as hair texture or whatever you wanna call it, and turned out looking even worse than this, I'll hopefully figure out how to do it properly eventually.
And speaking of the anatomy I think I messed up the right foreleg, the shoulder joint should bend a bit differently, but I'm not changing that anymore, too much work with the entire leg afterwards. :D

If you have other reasons, I don't mind people making it into a wallpaper. As long as they at least ask and/or give me credit, that is (because ego).

Another beast off my tablet. Though I have kinda conflicted feelings about this one. Could be that some of the things are terribly rushed because I wanted to be done with it finally.

Can't believe I didn't notice this post earlier, oh well. I had to re-draw both the tail and mane, like, 4 times. I kinda got fed up with it in the end and left it like this since it was the most successfull attempt. I'm a super lazy person.
