PHRP Novel Adaptation

Hello all! I have recently taken up the monumental task of converting the PHRP thread into a story. As you know, it is a little ( ) disorganized, so, I will need your help. A story has a beginning middle and end, if you can show me a "beginning" in the thread, I can probably take it from there. (you know what I mean right?) Any and all help is very much appreciated, and I hope to get this done in about a month or two. (Give or take, it depends on how much cooperation and assistance I get.) I will release it bit-by-bit as it takes form. I really want to do this, and will not give up very easily, so please bear with me and help where you can!

I'll try to find where our RP starts more or less serious. Better ask Aonee or Guard. But I keep looking. And thanks for that, it would be hell of a job to do such a thing.

Sure Fyre, we'll give you all the help you need, just ask. As for the beginning part, the last one who tried it, Scyto Harmony, started just before Cyrstlane began speaking, and right after the Alpha Hellhound fight. Like you said, we don't really figure out what we're doing for the first thread or two, so you're allowed pretty large libereties with most of the characters. Also, I would love to be a prereader if you want any.

Yes. And just in case you need more clarification on the "beginning", the RP just kinda evolved out of the comments at first back on EqD, but back then it was mostly just used for introductions and greetings to new people, but then during the downtime between... I think chapters 42 and 43 of Project Horizons, we starts RP'ing a bit more heavily, and then the crew that went to Trottingham loaded up onto a cart, shot out of a cannon, and then Ice Crystal made us our own thread. So yea, basically the gang's been staying at the Happyhorn Mental Hospital for a bit, and then most of us went off on a supply run. I would personally refer to our mode of transport as sort of a Noodle Incident.

Yeah, btw. I could help with pre-reading too. I have a lot of free time right now. If you'll have some questions, you could ask them here or in our RP thread. BTW, Raf dropped RPing after a while, just so you'll know.

I'm curious. How would you describe the PHRP to an outsider? As if you were giving a story synopsis, I mean.

I'll help out as best I can as well. Mostly in answering questions and filling in plot holes as best I can and with agreements with the others.

Also, hint. You can look at our characters list. along side with s.p.e.c.i.a.l. and perks/traits, someone have there little characterisation, of their chars, if you need one.

Looks like I have quite some work ahead! But, I'm confident it can be done, a story can be found in anything and anyone. Besides, what is a story other than confusion in a pattern!

Btw, can you give me details about the seemingly war like situation? A bit of back-story makes for a good intro!

Hi there Fyre! As the former person going to convert it to a fic,( before I kept fucking it up and quit) I'd be more then happy to help you the best I can! I can pre-read, do character break-downs, and even help clarifying the plot (Especially in the early stages, where most of our members were new to RP and everything was a bit jumbled) So e-mail me, PM me, whatever you need, I'm happy to help!

By the way. I give you full and total permission to mess with my characters, Kage and Willow, in any way, shape, and form in order to make sure that they ain't Mary Sues.

Fyre. What actually do you want to know? Timeline? Events before that scene? Or intro, like other fics have? Also, it would be hard to pick somepony as storyteller(MC), since we all are in one way or another storytellers(MC).

It's really rather difficult to describe it as a story. An actual story has a set plotline and planned end. 90% of this is made up as we go along, with the rest being planned character stories and development we just try to fit in. The best way I can describe it is as the story of a group of misfits in the Wasteland, each with their own background stories, goals, desires, and dreams, just trying to survive together and take on whatever comes their way. And that leads to interesting series of events, and drama and action.

Fyre... I think I just realized you don't even know what Fallout:Equestria is... I'll type up a synopsis of the war later today, when I can get to my computer. Also, like others said, we have a name and synopsis ready, we just have to find it in the depths of the RP...

I saw Fallout Equestria on the forums and am currently reading both the original and the gridmark. (I am way out of the loop , but hopefully can get caught up) Honestly, I'm kinda embarrassed about it. (I'm a long time writer, recent brony, so it only makes sense that I would have not caught on to the really pop fanfics yet.) Something tells me reading is going to make this easier...

Okay good. And just a quick thing on the part you sent me, you got my characters mixed up. All of Aonee's actions' etc. are in black, and all of Crystalane's stuff is in cyan. She's the made behind the door at first.

If you have some time I suggest giving FoE a read and then moving to the other fics. Naturally I recommend Project Horizons, and also Murky Number Seven and Heroes.

But while Aonee most likely has you covered, most important thing to remember is Fallout Equestria is basically "what if Fallout took place in MLP: FIM"

Oh. And word of advice. If you're comfortable with using Gdocs - it would be easy both for you and pre-readers to pinpoint some lines.
