~Rosebush~

Finally decided to write down a poem/rhyme that I thought of. Please let me know what you think.

- Roses are red as the blood from my scars
The rosebush resembles my life
For that which is beauteous, as are the stars
Is that which does also cause strife
The rose is a symbol of romance and love
Yet is also a symbol of pain
For that which may seem like a gift from above
May be that from which you should abstain
The flower is beautiful, fragrant, and sweet
A gift with which one may adorn
An object with which then none else may compete
But often forgot are it's thorns
They sink into your skin and draw blood in defense
They can't be controlled; they just do
And the pain from the cut is quite simply immense
And thus draw out ill feelings anew
The romance and love, now replaced by the pain
Masks all the fragrance and beauty
And that which was thought once to be a great gain
Now fulfills it's sad and cruel duty
A life, like a rosebush, brings on this grief
And from it you can do naught but cower
But do not forget there is fragrant relief
And the rose is not a lone-standing flower

Holy shit that is good! And I am not just saying that. Just...wow.

*accepts hug* I get that a lot... Just stinks that the girls who say that are either already taken or already interested in someone else... Actually this poem was inspired by such an instance that happened to me yesterday...

So Natalie (the girl I've been seeing lately) told me that she started seeing someone else cause its this guy she's liked for over a year but thought it was hopeless so moved on but learned the other day that he likes her so now I've got no one cause she was the only one I was open to having a relationship with so basically my happiness turned to pain at that along with my memories and everything... And I got to thinking like I always do and came up with an analogy of my life being like a rosebush...

I JUST went through this and am currently going through this. It sucks more than anything in the world. Just about.

That sucks. I can't say that I have gone through this though. Mostly because I have serious trust issues, and try to remain distanced from most people. Yeah and the worst part is she knows that I have no one else and she feels bad and said that she would be proud and happy to be in a relationship with me but now it's not possible and there's nothing I can do about it... And I *really* liked her. She had an amazing personality and great ideas and we were so alike and then suddenly, this thing happens and I feel like shit but I can't blame her because she's liked this guy for over a year not thinking it would go anywhere but then... You know, I really hope this other guy is something damn special enough that this should happen. I could go on like this for hours on end but I have school now. Anyway, yeah.
