Frost and I have an idea that should work quite well. One day I brought up the idea of running a temporary charity event to get some recognition in the FoE community, and to just be helpful. So, we come to the realization that neither of us can draw worth shit and can't spare the time to learn a vectoring program. So what do we decide to do? We build stuff, of course. Can't draw or vector stuff, but we are more than competent when it comes to building things. One of Frost's first suggestions was to build a model of Deus, and from there we could make one of Blackjack, and maybe some neat items from the stories. Imagine owning nerf versions of Duty and Sacrifice.

Just felt like sharing.

I was just wondering: Since, in both Fallout and FoE, ghouls are healed by radiation, wouldn't a sufficiently high-rad hotspot actually heal them enough to regrow their skin, making them look normal so long as they stay inside?

Besides, the protagonists seeing a pony/person walking around a massive hotspot (in addition to being creepy and wierd by itself), notice and start walking toward them, only to not even flinch as their skin to begins melting off would be a sufficiently freaky moment

I dunno, I thought the "skin & hairs falling off" was actually a manifestation of the fact that the metabolism of the person (human or pony) has been radically changed by the radiations.

That if the general aesthetic of the ghouls is "hiroshima / nagasaki victim" crossed with zombies, the general idea is that the radiations actually mutated them in a deep way (well, they ARE immortal and healed by radiations, after all...).

I don't know if I'm clear...

Basically, that their monstrous appearance IS their healthy normal state.

I intend to write a paper on ghoulification one of these days. From the point of view of ponies 40 years after the EoE observing the large scale numbers of ghouls that would have likely infested balefire craters. After all pony ghouls unlike human ghouls are made via magical contamination not radioactive fallout. Meaning the amount of pony ghouls should be much higher than human ghouls.
