I know you're our resident expert on the horror movie genre so I have a question:

What horror movies do you know that feature absolutely no paranormal or supernatural elements, where the only enemy of man is man itself?

At a guess, I'm thinking about the SAW series of movies, and other "serial killer" movies.

... Since when exactly does it feel for me like it's almost a chore to have to sit down just to watch an episode?

Time to ask myself some questions, maybe...

Eh, that's how around the last... 5-10 of PH had become until I had enough of the bullshittery and just stuck with having read to that point. Actually spoke with one recently till then, it's apparently still good if you disregard almost everything continuity wise, just ignore, make up headcanon or look past the blatant flaws+errors and never see the characters as consistent or the same when they swap personality for plot convineince, and instead treat as a new character. More or less seeing it as an anime, each episode having a new story, timeline and cast. Never seen someone so insistent on trying to make themselves finish reading a story...

The MLP episodes have varied for me. A few made me cringe a bit, others were rather good overall, and some were mixed. Only part I tend to groan over is when something spawns too generic porn and people are too retarded/narrow minded to make the actual "proper" versions of it.

@Tytan: Can say so far, the comics have been varied for me. Parts have been good, otherwise "bleh" fan pandering, and some just boring. Some great jokes too.
As for the seeming latest instalment; I will faceplant so hard out of boredom if just end up doing the generic "they're evil, so = add dick, have rape original good versions". Heck, even the bland "is evil, but has no dick, so have someone with dick do raping while laugh" would be more interesting. Why must people be so lame with r34? xD

Three things. One, if the cover is any indication it's a simple 'Alternate-universe-where-good-people-are-bad-and-bad-people-are-good' story. Two, what, if any, indication was there that rape would ever be involved in the comics? Three, I wasn't talking about the comics content, I just thought the cover was funny.

Do postapocalyptic films count? Even stories with supernatural, i.e. zombies, has more horror due to part of other humans (DayZ 'trailer' by CorridorDigital).

I just had a very odd moment.

I was watching a review that was reviewing a bunch of animes that came out a few months ago to see if there was anything that caught my interest. Keep in mind that the lady reviewing was only talking about first episodes.

The show the gave me the odd moment was Kotoura-san. The basic jist is the main character was born with psychic powers and can read the mind of everyone around her. The problem is is that she doesn't (or didn't because she was very young) know that wasn't normal, so she's unintentionally revealing peoples darkest secrets and getting people mad and fired or making them fight with their best friends. It all culminates when she reveals her parents infidelities and makes her mother leave. However, as she's leaving she says to the six year old girls face that she wishes she never gave birth to her.

Supposedly this was done sort of in parody and gives way to a funnier show in contrast to the blatantly grimdark first half.

The point I'm trying to get to is that there was some emotional manipulation on par with FOE and PH going on and the only thing I could think was, "Did Camobadger write this?"
