I know. The industry has purposefully ruined most chances for people to do that though. Since, they wanted monopoly on it, thus made sure to try and wreck anything that might try and compete with it. Combined that with dozens of years of indoctrination of porn norms and "standards" in fandoms, end up looking like the difficulty curve in Psychonauts. Sure, you can start a little wobbly, get hissed at and rested each step you take, but one can push through and advance, they then gotta start collecting fans and whatnot in order to be able to proceed and it goes slowly, but you get somewhere at least if you're lucky. And then when you try to "finish" and become a legitimate thing, you hit a fucking brick wall of "NO! FUCK YOU!", refusing to let you in because it would "ruin everything". Just like people throwing hissy fits that ex: removing sexism from games would utterly ruin them and everything we hold dear about games and that they'd never be fun again. Because apparently it can only be one way or another. There's no possible way for a compromise.

And humans being humans, it's hard as fuck to get something rolling as almost none dares to take the first step. And most go with a circle logic that the game market currently goes with. "Can you make horror games? - No, it's not profitable, no-one plays them any more, they're dead. - What are you talking about? - We've never sold a single copy. - ... that's because you never made one... - Exactly. You just need a couple people and a camera. It doesn't really seem all that difficult to prove whether or not there's a market unless you have a favorite porn actor/ actress you want to do the porn that you'd like. And judging by your dislike of the majority of the works out there I don't think that's the case.

 However if your goal is to get everyone to like the thing you do. Your goal is an impossible one. However getting more diverse porn out there is achieveable. Even on a budget. Unless there's a bunch of permits and red tape that I'm unaware of.

In any case you can't just expect change to happen. And in this instance I think there is something you can do about it. And not the tumblr kind of change either where reblogging is believed to be doing something.

Each game you play gives you IP, which can be used to buy them when you have enough.

Video games don't have to cost billions though. And I generally just use them as a reference since people like http://www.penny-arcade.com/patv/episode/playtesting point out shit that is applicable to things outside of games. Porns generally make for a great example. And for making real life, physical porn yes. There's also a shitton of animated and drawn... all of which generally shares this huge gap, but still. Problem as said would be that if one does that, it generally has a huge backlash from "the norm", as "we're coming to ruin their porn!", which cause many to quit, as intended by those throwing the hissy fit. And like mentioned before, it would be incredibly rare that someone just leaps straight out there taking that risk of doing something against the standards.

And no, that's not my goal. My goal is to get rid of the porn norms and stereotypes. Having porn be more of a "anything works" rather than the "THINGS CAN ONLY BE IN ONE WAY! ONLY THESE SPECIFIC THINGS WORK AND ARE ALLOWED!" we have now in most parts. Having something AT MOST as a guideline. Not as a invisible rule/law as I've seen many treat it as now. So yeah, making it more "diverse" is more or less my goal.

Generic porn user expects one churned out daily more or less. I expect one semi-decent animation a year. Generic user wants one to three churned out each month at least. What gets me even more annoyed is said people gloating about it, along with stating I should be honoured to get to scrounge their trash for anything of use. While they take their time to whine on this 1 % of the work, claiming it should be made like the rest of the 99 %, because that's what they've been told to like, and they cba to learn to like anything else.

I have a stupid question though:
Aren't there more important things to try and fix?  Like how there's states that don't even recognize rape as a crime, or how states like oklahoma and texas are trying their best to get rid of abortion?  Or how saying vagina in a congressional debate on birth control will get you thrown out of the meeting?  Or promoting more women to go into the field of science?  Or how a lot of cops simply don't give a shit about domestic abuse?  If you are dating someone and they rape and/or hit you most cops simply don't give a shit.  Or how less than half of rape cases actually get reported?  Or how there's states that don't recognized rape by use of date rape drugs don't recognize it as rape?  Or how there's states that don't recognize rape of a passed out individual due to alcohol as rape?

Without the monomyth video game storylines would be complete and utter gibberish.

While yes in video games there are tropes of scantily clad women, there's also tropes in video games of guys with peabrains that are hulking brutes.  Tropes are pretty much a universal thing in that they're neither accurate, nor realistic towards either gender and that often times video game developers forget that sticking as many tropes as you can into a video game doesn't necessarily mean it's a good game.  Rather the core of a video game is the video game gameplay.  A video game can have zero gender tropes and still be a shitty game.  A video game can have all the gender tropes and still be a good game.  Rather the problem is that sex sells.  To try and get rid of sexualization in video games is impossible because people like sex a lot.  The best thing video games can do is accurately rate their video games.  Far too often offensive games slip under the radar by making minor tweaks.

The way you can actually fix sexism in video games would be a more extensive rating system.  Right now there's just the ESRB and that.  What there should be is a star rating system based on core themes.  Like a five star rating something along the lines of GTA would score five stars in violence, 2 stars in gore(cause it doesn't dismember people), five stars in language and 3 stars in sex.  Whereas other games like dead or alive beach volleyball would score 0 stars in violence, 0 stars in language, 0 stars in gore, but 3 stars in sex.  That way when people buy the game they actually now what's in the game and so little kids trying to buy a game with a nipple slip won't be able to cause the game would be rated outside of their age group, whereas with the esrb it would just get a lower rating.

For the most part I think an artist creates what they want to. So, I can't fault them for applying their skills in the way they want. Afterall it's their time and talent. If you're requesting drawings and stuff and they turn you down not because they don't like your idea but because they think no one else would like it then I get you. And I'm sure there are some people that would turn you down for that reason, but at the same time it could just be an excuse. Not that they need one it is a request in this sceario.      

I don't know it's hard to say if the issue lies with the creator or the audience.

I don't think any game has cost billions... GTA 5 I think cost 200 million.

Aye. I've always had an issue with the attitude of "The Police are evil. Screw them over at all costs." Police brutality and corruption exist, that's an inescapable fact of our society, but that doesn't mean that all, or even most, police officers are bad.

Aye. I've always had an issue with the attitude of "The Police are evil. Screw them over at all costs." Police brutality and corruption exist, that's an inescapable fact of our society, but that doesn't mean that all, or even most, police officers are bad.

Well obviously, HOWEVER the biggest problem is two fold.  Police have quotas they need to fulfill and even have the motto of, "three tickets a day keeps the sergeant away", and the blue code of silence which in a nutshell is, "Don't rat out your fellow police officers".

If you don't fulfill your monthly quota of arrests or actually follow proper textbook protocol of what to do when your fellow police officer does something they aren't supposed to you're going to have a bad time.... A VERY VERY BAD TIME.

It's why some cities have report rates of police brutality or police corruption, they have high quotas that their officers have to fulfill and combine it with the blue code of silence then that's just asking for trouble.

One of the easiest ways to fulfill your monthly quota is to say someone is resisting arrest and lay the smackdown.  If you ever run into a bad cop the best thing to do is don't resist in any way, say nothing, and when they pull you into the station IMMEDIATELY request a lawyer.  Even if they're smashing your face against the concrete and throwing you against stuff do NOT do anything, just bend down, put your arms behind you in the position to let yourself get handcuffed, cause even if you so much as try to block that is automatic grounds for "lol resisting arrest".

Tl:dr; Yeah I know 99% of cops aren't corrupt cops, but if you run into that 1% don't do anything to resist or even try to block getting hit cause you will get thrown into prison just to fulfill his quota.

If a school has 10k students a year in a city of only 100k, and a lot of those students will graduate to continue to live in the area then that's going to effect the nearby area socially.  If a school is teaching that women exist JUST to be a baby factory and don't have any worth other than that then what do you think is going to happen when those people become what is considered the norm in the area?

If a area JUST views women as completely worthless and the local police officers are being raised to believe women to be completely worthless then what's going to happen if there's a domestic violence 911 call?

I honestly did not know other areas took domestic violence calls serious, cause for 23 years I grew up in a area where the local college taught who knows how many people that women's sole reason for being on the earth is to "find a man" and pop out babies.

Tl:dr; Living next to umhb was extremely shitty, cause they had such a influence on the local area it's weird to actually hear about police officers taking domestic violence seriously.
