If there's one thing Blizzard knows how to do it's work an IP.

I'm not just hyped for the game.

I'm hyped for everything they're gonna do with it.

Depending on how successful it is, and knowing Blizzard this shit's gonna be Triple A in the first week, there'll almost certainly books. And they'd be insane not to make comic books.

Who knows what else they'll do?

Not to mention the fan art/fiction.

In all honesty, that looks dope as fuck. I'll try not to get my hopes up, since I normally don't go for a game without some sort of singleplayer, but, still, those characters look cool, and I love the fusion of superpowers and good ol' firefights. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Also, don't mind me if I seem freakishly angry in the coming days. I just bought Dark Souls II.

Been catsitting for my aunt (she has two adorable cats). Had some of her leftover coffee in the proportions I usually have (really tall glass of black). Forgot she makes the strongest coffee on the planet. Also had been losing tolerance over a few days of no-coffee. My heart has decided it wants to be where the people are, ie not encased safely in my ribcage. :P Exaggerating somewhat for dramatic effect, but it is definitely, uh, invigorating.

Anyway, other news, Metro 2033 is currently (like, for today currently) free  at the Humble Bundle store thing. Right here! I've played some of it, and thought it was a pretty good time! Bit glitchy, but playing it on the Ranger mode made for a good time - enemies die from headshots to unarmored parts of their head (be aware of helmets and facemasks and such), ammo is scarce, and you die really, really fast. Stealth is close to a must. That kind of game. Feels really good when you finally clear an encampment after the fiftieth try, and it never was so frustrating that I quit before that point.'

EDIT: Fed the cats dinner. They had like two bites, and then started following me around meowing because they thought they deserved treats instead of cat food. >_<

The thing I like about winter, at least back home, is that generally it's cold and dry enough that we don't have to worry about rain too much. At worst, it's molten snow that falls from the skies, and not too regularly.

Spending another autumn and winter on the Atlantic coast... not something I rejoice too much at the idea of.

At least this year I'm not spending that period crawling in the mud for Basic.

I remember when I was so deluded that I though Georgia would be mild and rather dry in the winter. Or that Texas would be either hot and dry or cold and dry, depending on the season. Then I learned the truth about weather in the Army-- Where you are, that's where the rain is. Desert or plains, forest or hills, in winter or summer--it will rain on your ass, and it will be cold as balls, even if it's the dead of summer in Georgia or a month later in Texas. Mother Nature will look on you and say "Aw, Lordeh, da hell wrong wit' dese cher'rin?" (Mother Nature is a 60-something Southern black woman) and will proceed to whup said disobedient cher'rin.
