That's how the game works, basically. It throws something you can't deal with at you and forces you to react and play super well. If you do well enough, you come out on top, and start being able to deal with when said thing starts happening over and over. "Ha!" you say. "I've learned all your tricks, game!" And then half your squad dies in one turn to a new enemy type with two attacks and 30 health and free overwatch and 50% damage reduction.

Also, little advice on xcom. Level up your sniper asap and get him best weapon. One time I had chain of 4 head shots-insta kills. Then I had to reload :D

Scare tactics tend to work the best when trying to drill facts into you. I still remember one of the "Don't Drink and Drive" videos that went into nauseating detail about the kind of injuries car crashes cause...

I think it's pretty scummy. If that artist didn't like the content of the commision you proposed they should have turned you down. Not take your money with the intention of shitting out a half-assed piece.  

It was hypothetically, I'd never go to an artist that incompetent. Main reason I asked was due to 1: Someone told me I should just "accept" the porn norm, so I'd be able to "enjoy it". (which was unintentionally hurtful as it was more or less a "learn your place woman".) 2: I've seen A LOT of artist perform this practice openly, and people just accept it as it's "the norm". Which I just find wrong as said. Like, one artist does "18+ crotch shots" of characters, for males, they spend around 1-2 hours drawing a unique design for each genital, while for female, they only have a template with the flat | to (|) design, they apply to any female that gets a slot, only spending ~5-15 minutes flood filling the "stomach to hip" area to match the chars color. To me at least, that's just really bad form to charge the same amount for something you don't even put half the effort into. But as said: I find it even worse that many people actually are "totally okay" with this. This whole "yeah, if you got a female char, I won't even pay 10 % of the attention or effort to it as if it'd been male." that applies to quite a few situations. But as usual: I'm just ticked that people, like always; would refuse to accept the opposite, and would have raged if someone had done that instead... (also, really don't get the "Can you draw ex: shoes? - Nope, I can't draw them for shit. BUT, I can draw cabbage DAMN well. - But... I don't want cabbage drawn, I want shoes... - That's okay, I know a really great artist that mentors me. - So, they know how to draw shoes? - Not in the slightest, but they are amazing at corks! And for this fact, I will charge full price for drawing shoes, because I am great at drawing other things except shoes!" I just... wat? And even more wat that most people go "Oh yeah, that's totally fair!" and then purchases drawings of shoes from them... heck, even had a person openly admit they only draw the "shoes" in the end when they have no interest or motivation left, and just scribble some shit out under 5 min. I mean shesh, what got people this thick to begin with? I'd immediately voice my concern if something had more than ~10 % variation in quality/time spent for the same price. Heck, here in a lot of ways it's more or less "2 hour massage from a professional for males, 50 $" and "10 minute massage from our janitor with no education whatsoever for females, 50 $" it's just... wat? why are women getting that? Why? Erf, enough rant for today...
