I'd just like to add that i have all of this sitting on and around a $20 folding plastic table... I didn't feel like buying a desk (nor did i feel like having the money for a desk apparently)

Re: Computer Setup's
GTX 560 video card
P5K Asus motherboard, Intel Core 2 Quad@2.66GHz
4 Gigabytes of RAM, 3 usable due to the limitations on XP
300 Gigabyte HDD
Windows XP SP3(Duh)
Monitor is 1152X864 by default but I run it on 1024X768 for most uses. Crappy thing, hard to turn on so I leave it on almost all the time.
In the future, I intend to get an SSD, 4 more gigs of RAM, and Windows 7 when I finally dig a hole and bury XP. The Intel Core 2 Quad is the suggested processor for a lot of quite high-end games that came out in the early half of 2012, so it'll last a while. Next step for me will probably be the i5 or, just as likely, what replaces it. The GTX 560 is powerful enough to support max settings on any game I have, so medium settings will probably be possible when it becomes too obsolete for that. I need to replace my monitor and/or get a second one.

Bleh, I never liked germans anyway, far too expensive
Did i mention i built my entire set up (including displays, peripherals, speakers, etc) For under $1000?
Took me about 16 months of catching sales and making good craigslist deals, but yeah, I've spent exactly $975.25 on it. only like $650 was actually on the tower.

Re: Computer Setup's
Nice. I have to hand it to you there, you did good on the savings.
Edit: actually, can't decide. Do I go for a 650w PSU or 750w?
750 allows for the possibility for Crossfire on two 7950's, though that'd be another 230 and all... still, going 750 would provide enough power ports for the possibility of it.

Re: Computer Setup's
You should really just got for 750W
No reason not to go for more, the price shouldn't be too much different and another 7950 in the future isn't completely implausible sounding.

Come next Wednesday, I'll post a pic of my set-up.
My current case is an abomination upon decency however, too little space and no cable management capability.

What would you need two 7950's for? Unless you're preparing for a possible graphical revolution a la Crysis [although, IIRC, its over-the-top system requirements were so because of poor optimization...]. I find that one 7970 is enough for anything currently.
(and a 600W PSU is enough for one 7970)

Re: Computer Setup's
I don't need two 7950's and nor am I looking at getting one just yet.
However, the ability to upgrade my system to them in the future is what draws me.
Ordered both the case and power supply last night, as soon as my money went in the bank practically. It's due to arrive next Wednesday which is fine with me because I have Tuesday to Thursday off work.
I already have a single 7950 so buying a 7970 would be a waste of money if I was going to crossfire since it'd only be as effective as the 7950 anyway.
Anyway, like I say - it's mostly for the possibility rather than actuality. If the next generation of GPU's require three or four 6 pin connectors, I'll be fine with the 750w model.
