I'm usually compliant with orders as long what I'm told to do isn't complex (bad memory) and/or doesn't send up any red flags. Though, I am rather suspicious of authority, because I've met quite a few people who seem to not know how to do things properly.

I've always been fond of having someone above me, especially when they listen. I prefer speaking to, and have more respect for, reasonable authority figures compared to peers, leading to behaviours that resemble sycophancy while I actually have no conscious desire to curry favour. This tends to lead me towards alienating myself from almost everyone, and a general, paranoia-induced terror of letting authority figures down.

Perhaps I have the soul of a French person, then. I have an innate hatred for authority (really, everyone that has any form of authority over me, including every admin on this site and everyone here that demands, by their very nature, special treatment to avoid social consequences) and regular compulsions to disobey or subvert every rule I see.

I don't know, and honestly I don't really care. If people didn't perceive it as insulting I'd say "it", "they" or other neutral pronouns by default when referencing internet people or people whose gender is uncertain.

Yeah, not sure what the story or the reader gain from it being there. Other then possibly having that one optional chapter maybe being included in the main story, but seeing as Kkat expressed that they didn't want there to be two different versions of the story floating around, so I doubt that's the case.

I don't know how people got it in their brains that being referred to as "it" is derogatory. I use it all the time because it's grammatically correct, as far as I know.

People who get offended by it for no apparent reason can:

(A): Fuck off.

(B): Grow a thicker skin.

(C): Realize that it's actually proper grammar and accept it.

Nothing much really. It does build on pip homage's relationship I guess? I don't know, I didn't like the romance in FOE. At least not the Pip and Homage stuff so I didn't pay much attention to it. Some people might like having all the chapters together though. *Shrug.*
