I'm honestly not sure if I'll even use the one year of it.
I'm an AVG guy personally, never heard of webroot.

Here's what my friend thought of it, since he certainly is a tech head:

Yeah, tell your friend that I know the GPU is pretty low, but the prices on anything better were... beyond anything I was happy to shell out for.
I reduced the price by a third by going from a 700w PSU to 500w and from a ATI Radeon 7000 series. (something like the 7780, I think).

edit: also, yeah, build by a website from parts I picked myself because I've never mounted a motherboard.
That's the one reason I chose to go for having them build it over buying each part individually.

...well, that and ease.
still, at least it isn't a pre-built sack of shit from PC world.

AVG will pick up most everything, but Malware Bytes supplements it well.

computer planet.co.uk

£720 including VAT (tax) + having to buy Win7 64bit (No-one I know has the 64 disk and fuck bothering with torrents.)

If it wasn't for having to pay for win7 (32 wont cut it with the ram) I'd have only paid about £640.

Still, for having it custom build, built for me (so I don't fuck up mounting the motherboard or cabling) and free shipping - I'd consider that a good enough deal.
I wont be needing to upgrade it for at least a good few years I reckon.

Little on the expensive side. If I would have known before the fact, I would have suggested CyberpowerPC, they make damn good PC's. They have wee bit higher specs than that for a little bit less price too. However it seems the default PSUs they try to put in the machine are the bare minimum, but you can upgrade them so no biggie.

Damn, hadn't come across that site.
I looked through a few but none seemed to have the functionality and the rest seemed about the same price.

Ah well, no point in crying over spilt milk. Would've been nice to spend that much less but at the same time like I say, nothing can be done now.

At least it'll be all put together ready to use & tested, as well as 3 years warranty as standard. I'm okay with paying the extra price (£130 or so) for three years warranty and labour of putting it together.
I'm getting 750gig HDD so yes that's 250gig less, but I wont need the whole 750 anyway so that's no trouble there.

plus I'm getting a load of freebies that weren't included on the cyberpower list of free stuff.

All very true, as long as you are happy with your choice that is all that really matters yes?

yup. thanks for the info though, definitely check the site out if I decide to upgrade with anything at all. (after this, it'd just be the sound system perhaps, or another fan if needed. doubtful, but possible.)

No problem, it is site I am gonna use once I get that student loan. They said I can use it on a PC, so why not get the best I can. :P
I am getting like $1350 which is somewhere in the ballpark of £850. Anyway, I really hope you enjoy your PC, when it arrives in, I am assuming, a week or two.
