It's not bad. It sort of has my interest, but not enough of it. I'm going to give it another chapter though. I think the one thing that's holding me on is Atom Smasher. She's quite a character. Other than that, this fic isn't really doing anything for me.

I'm interested enough that, given I have a few weeks with more spare time than normal, I'd probably go to see it even if I hadn't planned to see it with family while visiting them, but it's not something I'm ecstatic over.

In contrast, a friend of mine is making sure to leave work early or right at nominal quitting time to see it, and another is in heavy spoiler avoidance territory until he can see it when he's visiting family next week, and will probably be buying scalped tickets to make sure he can see it then given how poorly the other people involved have been about fixing a time for it, so he anticipates most will probably be sold out.

So I suppose that's relatively standard for a SW movie, considering the reception each episodes of the prequel trilogy received.

Unrelated to Star Wars but something currently making me pretty happy:
Well, you may remember that, for a while now (actually, probably nearly a year), I've been saying that I've still not gotten New Vegas running after updating my computer's operating system.  This is no longer the case, at least according to the testing I've just done (and I do hope that there's not a Great Horrible Software Destroying Glitch or something just beyond the range of the tests I ran).  :)
Granted, I have to launch it from the command line (though I might be able to change that if I wanted to bother, which I currently don't), but I think it might actually run a bit better this way than it did under the old wrapper.

Sadly, I appear to have lost my memories of who I was playing.  Not the saves, mind; those work and were used in the testing.  I'm just having the experience of looking at my equipment and thinking, quests, and the like and thinking, "Hm.  This character does seem to have been up to some interesting stuff!  And I don't know what it was!"  Eh.  I was thinking that, if I ever got the game running again, I'd probably want to start a new character anyway.  I'm not sure when I will start playing again, but I'm quite pleased I have the option.  This new (to me) way of using Wine might be good for other things, too.

And this all came out of a failed attempt to install PyCAM. :)

I'd say it hit the sweet spot. It's got some of the action that really worked in the prequels (minus the kind of dumb acrobatic fight scenes), and it's got the excellent and very likable characters that really worked in the originals.

I will admit, the story was structured a little oddly, but I'm chalking that up to it being the first movie in a trilogy. Which I kind of find would inevitably make the movie suffer a little bit considering the number of plot lines and characters they had to flesh out.

Otherwise I'd say it's not only an excellent film, but a very good Star Wars film. I don't know where to rank it with the originals just yet, but it's WAY fucking better than the prequels.

Saw a review of it. The guy said he'd wished had a few beers going into it and that's the way he suggested watching it.  Throughout the review he kept saying everything was 'fine' doesn't really strike me as something you would say about an awesome film.

@Frost: Oh, I do plenty things. Things I did personally this year was flesh out several of the fetishes I invented the year prior. Made the first interactive flash starring Trixie in the fandom. (Granted, only EQD Trixie... will still do a "proper" one, but not worried anyone will be me. As if someone had bothered to make one, it'd be done by now xD) Also was the lead behind one that features her and Maud, that became honestly surprisingly popular... like, front page derpi and all for 1 week+. No idea what that was about. But anyhow, lets see... also spearheaded a major Steven Universe flash, a minor Aventure time animation with Marceline. A silly comic series with Mavis from Hotel Transylvania. And a dozen other things. Like two teen titan comics. (and I don't know why, but Zone keeps faving everything I do... I am literally curious to why that is...)

Non-nsfw wise, I've cleared every instance and raid up to 6/8 on BWL (Nax and AQ not out yet) on my shaman dps/tank on a vanilla server. Currently in a Iron Kingdoms campaign. Leading a RPG group in my FoE RPG. Last week had someone contact me if I was continuing my revision of PH, and complimented how I vastly improved all the sex related scenes. But suggested that maybe I should just stick to doing a "½" chapter edit, and solely stick to fixing what I know. And stop trying to fiddle around with the rest of the story. Did ask Somber quickly on that, but they were "Eh, whatever. Just remember to tag me in it.", so still unsure as it's 7/7 votes on what to do with that. And I've watched I-zombie, one punch man, gravity falls and a bunch other shows and movies. Oh, and tried out this new board game called "Gamma World".

As for the whole "no-one cares" thing. Funny you mention that. As I had been doing bugger all for like, 3 weeks, and someone suddenly burst into my tumblr ask, and began to toss a fit about how "no-one cares!" and how I HAD to draw males with equine anatomy, because no-one cares what genitals pastel horses have. And this apparently proved their point by demanding it was draw in a specific way... after some digging I found out someone had done some edits on Derpi, and as we all know: I'm apparently the only person in the world capable to not have a preference for 14 inch horse genitals... as there's literally 0 explanation for why any artist would draw human genitals other than that I forced them to do it. That seems totally logical. Then, like, two weeks after that, someone crashed my tumblr again, and accused me of bullying Kevinsano, and how they didn't tolerate bullies, so they'd gather up a group of people to pick on me, to show me how they didn't support bullying. And again, after some quick digging, now someone apparently had done this (imo totally hilarious) picture for International R63 Twilight day. (much more impaction than the tongue in cheek I came up with) And again: as we all know: I'm the only person in the world that doesn't like all famous people, so I was obviously behind it. And people yet again came to tell me how no-one cares, but that I totally had to make sure it "never happened again". As like said: No-one cares, thus, it's extremely important it's done "correctly". While I suck at sarcasm, I have to call bs on that "no-one cares" statement, as most the times I've only ever seen it mean the exact opposite. I mean shesh, it's like when my raid leader went "It's fine, we just need one more. I don't care who or what they are. As long as it's not a rogue, druid, hunter, warrior, warlock, mage, priest. And they're a shaman, who's resto specced." Like, that's pretty fucking specific for not caring... It's pretty fucking hard to just sit in my corner and try to do my thing, when people constantly jump at me, demanding that I stop liking what they don't like. Like shesh, 70 % of the downvotes I got on my lesbian tagged lesbian animation, was people complaining about it not being straight, not having futa or pandering to their preference like the rest of the porn on that site. So excuse me if I'm bit grouchy, and don't believe the whole "no-one cares" when I've yet to see a single person actually not caring.


@Last: 1: I'm not really speaking for the average porn viewer? Or do you refer to that I point out what a vast majority of them seem to be endorsing?

3: My only real issue with the whole "obsession" ordeal is that in comparison (generally), I'm a giddy schoolgirl going "Ohh! I can't wait till the next episode of One punch man/play session of Undertale!" and people go "Gee, wtf is wrong with you, you obsessed freak?" and right next to me, there's a guy calling everyone "faggots/pussies", frothing at the mouth and sitting on a folding chair, because in a week, the next CoD/Fifa/Whatever is coming out. And people just nod in their direction going "Yeah, that guy sure got a passion for his hobby!". It's a tad bit fucking annoying when people are expecting to be allowed to smack talk everything not in the "status quo" or whatever, yet pops their monocles and "pfbfbfbfbt!" whenever anyone as much as lifts a finger towards them. The only certainty I've learned for history, is that you can never shut up. As if the silence wins, that's it. Game over. Might be a re-try decades later. But I ain't got decades. Likewise with shitty business practices, as several people much better at words than me have pointed out: If we keep treating it like a big deal every single fucking time, most companies will stop trying to make us accept that "Oh, it's not that bad to have to pay 120 $ for half a new game's content, that's just how things are now."

Anyhow, in the last 2 months I made around, 4 posts I think that had nothing to do with any of that. Two of which was about the PH revisions. One about Undertale, and forgot what the last one was about... there was also the season finale one, but that did mention porn, so that doesn't fully qualify.

But I guess you cba to look at those, as you couldn't bitch and moan about them being about what I usually talk about?

The plot is... on par with any star wars movie, really.

So... I've been hospitalized for 10 days.
Just before that happened I was getting ready to buy a bigger casing to fit one more HDD. I've transferred everything I'd wanted to put there onto an external HDD, in order to download more stuff on the old one. I wasn't expecting to get sick, obviously.

I've just got home, and

OF COURSE, THE EXTERNAL DISK HAS BEEN ACCIDENTALLY KNOCKED DOWN AND WRECKED. WHAT THE FUCK WAS I EXPECTING.

It's registering as "unallocated space" in Computer Management, and Partition Wizard sees it as a "bad disk" (scanning for lost partitions does nothing). I guess that's it.

As for data. If it was in for of raid, you can try to re-build it, might work.
If it wasn't, that would be more tricky and with low success chance.
Have you tried Paragon Partition magic? Or Active@ Partition Manager? These tend to help, where others fail.
So far, it looks like drive just lost point where it starts and/or ends.

Just installed Paragon, it can't even start properly with this disk. Launched it about half an hour ago, it's just periodically showing error messages concerning that disk ("In/Out Error").

Sadly I haven't encountered this kind of problem and succesfully restored the data. There are companies, that can restore it, not cheap though, afaik.

Well. You can keep trying; try to find said company (if data is important); or screw it.
