I remember playing a demo way back when for City of Gangsters off one of PC Gamer's old demo disks and it was pretty fun. It's not my genre but I wouldn't mind playing it again.

Conversely, while Fallout 4 has been pretty interesting, the crashes, glitches, and constant hangups at loading screens have all but killed the game for me.

I am never going to buy another Bethesda game. Or, at least, not until the released product is a year or more old, like I did with Fallout 3 and Skyrim. I'm probably going to do just that with this piece of trash.

Frost review time:

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of giving us all your money:

Foreword by WB spokesperson: "Moviemaking's a lot like farming. You seed a whole bunch of money into it, fertilize it with some names people remember from TV as  kids, and eventually a whole lotta money grows up around you."

Alright, so, much as advertised, movie starts with a lot of people starting to doubt Superman, and much ado is made of how he's a symbol, or a god, or a false god, or whatever. Don't worry, though--literally no one thinks to just have Superman explain that he's just a man that's Super. He's gonna keep riding that God bandwagon bringing no visible benefit and a whole slew of problems.

Meanwhile, Batman's grudge against Superman started when an employee of his was wounded and some woman he never met or saw was killed in the battle between Supes and Zod back like a fucking billion years ago in Man of Steel. Batman naturally blamed Superman for this, and not, y'know, the hostile invader Superman was trying to stop. Because that would make too much sense, and there's a finite amount in this movie to spread out between everybody on screen, and Wonder Woman's hogging most of it just by continually trying to get out of this goddamned movie.

Batman's apparently already fought and beaten the Joker in this movie; and thank fucking god for that, so we won't have to see Jared Leto's hot-topic-lookin' ass cut himself on all his edge and bleed all over the fucking coffee table.

Anyway, first present-day scene is Lois going to meet with a warlord in the desert with suspected terror ties. Hilarity ensues, her cameraman turns out to be CIA and gets shot like a fucking idiot, the warlord's PMC's (who much later turn out to be hired, and for some goddamned reason armed with experimental weaponry by, Lexcorp, obviously) kill his men and pop smoke just before Superman arrives, saves Louis, and ends up getting blamed for the bloodbath.

Because that's Superman's normal MO. Shooting people.

Anyway, now that Superman has finally killed a terrorist that he never bothered to deal with until someone whose name he knew was in danger (standard Hero(tm) operating procedure) it's time for Lex and some disposable characters who'll die later to set the scene with Kryptonite, which they've determined from Zod's corpse to effect Kryptonian cells. Seems like that'd be hard to determine on a body that's already fucking dead, but I digress.

Batman's been busy tracking someone trying to smuggle a dirty bomb into Gotham, though it later turns out that he knew about and was trying to obtain the Kryptonite, and for some reason he hid this plan from Alfred (the only person who knew any of his plans) for precisely zero reason, just so it'd be a bit more dramatic.

Party at Lex's house, and there's the usual "hypothetically measuring dicks contest" between Bruce and Clark, while Bruce is working on stealing the data about the Kryptonium from Lex, and his magical hacking device is stolen by totally-not-Wonder Woman (don't worry, you'll never find anything about her other than she's at least a century old. Name, origins, nothing. Nope. You're gonna see another movie to learn that, you walking wallet.)

Anyways, Lex begins fucking messing with Zod's corpse and the spaceship while Batman tries to get his data back and Superman fails to stop a suicide bombing in the same room as him. Wonder Woman just gives it to him with no resistance, and he finds some files on totally-not-the-Justice-League before going after the Kryptonite (and killing a few dozen men in the process) and is stopped by Superman, who gives him a verbal peepee-slappin' before flying away.

Retract what I said earlier. This movie's so disjointed it's hard to remember the sequence of things. Now the bombing happens and shortly thereafter, Batman steals the Kryptonite from Lex.

Lex kidnaps Louis and Superman's mom, and Louis is in danger for about two minutes before Supes rescues her (as intended; she was just the bait) and Lex says his dudes are going to burn Clark's mom alive (don't ask me how he knew who Superman was; presumably his "super-genius" just means the glasses don't fool him. That's super-genius by this movie's standards) unless Superman kills Batman (who Lex knows has his Kryptonite, because Batman leaves batarangs wherever he goes deliberately)

Superman and Batman fight, Batman kicks Superman's ass, Superman says something about his mom, with Louis' help, and apparently it just never occurred to Batman that a member of a sexually-reproducing species would have a mom, adoptive or otherwise, because the mention of it (once he draws out of his flashbacks) makes him swear to go save Superman's mom while Superman goes to deal with Lex.

Lex activates Zod's mutated corpse as Superman arrives, and Superman just kinda watches as Doomsday takes his time emerging from his artificial womb. I can see Superman being pro-life, but that's going a bit goddamned far.

Anyway, Superman and Batman get bitch-slapped around for a few minutes, Superman carries Doomsday to space and a nuke fails to kill either of them. While Superman gets sun-charged, Doomsday falls pretty much right back where he was, healing and becoming way more powerful (as his general M.O. goes). Wonder Woman comes out of fucking nowhere just in time to save Batman's ass, they fight for way too long, and Superman ends up sacrificing himself to plunge Batman's Kyrptonite spear into Doomsday's chest.

Don't worry, though. Because after way, way too long a sequence of "everyone's greiving", a vague bit of foreshadowing that someone-who's-not-Darkseid is coming to take more of your money, and the usual "find the rest of the not-yet-Justice-League and make them the Justice League", we see some dirt floating around on top of Superman's coffin. Because not even a bone-sword (in the literal sense, not a penis or anything) impaling him in the chest will stop Superman from upholding Truth, Justice, and making Warner Brothers money.

Overall, the film's not without merit--Art direction's generally good, and the film is very visually appealing in its quieter moments. Costume design was good, particularly for Wonder Woman, who nails the "I totally respect her as a hero and fighter but also want to nail her until I pop a blood vessel and die" appeal. But the slapdash plot that obviously (and tenuously) led directly to its predetermined conclusion with the barest effort to get us there, characterization was sloppy or just not present, and the action scenes were downright disorienting and generally sub out any sort of choreography or tension in favor of another blast of space-energy or another building exploding.

So, yeah. Hindsight being what it is, I'd rather have just seen Deadpool again. Hell, I'd rather have faced my secret fur-trash shame once more and seen Zootopia again.

It's hell o'clock, I've been up too long, and I just watched Rubber. Has a below-six/10 on imdb. It's also the first movie I've been able to finish in... well, a while. It's exactly what I've been looking for lately. Totally bizarre. Beautifully shot. Has exploding heads. It's like Natural Born Killers, only way stranger. The acting is half atrocious, half brilliant, and the bad stuff might be intentional. Ludicrous symbolism. Grim humor for days.

It's about a tire that comes to life and goes on a killing spree. It's also about more than that, and about nothing whatsoever, but that's spoilers. At least watch the first few scenes. The first speech from the cop character is something else. It's a meandering, surreal wreck, and I love it.

I should really figure out what to do with my LTAC... it's pretty busted up, but it's a military vehicle, and my dad left it for me. Feels like a waste to not take care of it.

Of course it's been removed. Because censorship is for your own good!

It was a video of a school parking lot. Overweight woman (either older student or younger teacher; her face is unclear) pushes down a black boy who doesn't appear to be antagonizing her. He gets up and does some fuckin' badass WWE super-slam shit, and she (and several others) are completely flabbergasted that a man fought back when a woman attacked him

Is that a Friday the 13th soundtrack portion we hear? Nice.

EDIT: It's my day off starting now, so I am trying a beer Hobbit-style (AKA "It comes in pints?! I'm getting one."). Very dark. Even the foam is a burnt caramel color. It says "Yeti" on it, also, and "Great Divide Brewing Co." I don't know much about beer, but it seems pretty great.

Hmm, nice. I'll check 'em out if I ever get to a proper store. Found this one in the assorted-local-and-weird-stuff aisle at the supermarket near where I work - I don't think they had any variants, unfortunately. Bourbon one sounds interesting for sure.
