Or... really any of it. All the damage Smooze caused in the meantime. Discord disposing of Rarity's dress after she got gooed, too.
There's nothing in-universe to justify her actions. I'd be kinda okay with her magic not working against the monster, but her attitude toward the whole thing was just too much.
I don't think I like her anymore.

I guess that just leaves Zecora, now. Hopefully she'll get an episode eventually and it won't be awful.
Spoiler:
I've had real problems with her for a long time. It really doesn't help that that one point could have easily been solved like this:
Discord the Chaos Spirit
c/o Fluttershy
Fluttershy's cottage, Ponyville, Equestria

I continue not to like Discord since his return, and I have to say that this episode would have worked better in season four, maybe between "Three's a Crowd" and "Twilight's Kingdom", but probably better yet before "Three's a Crowd."

On the plus side, Fluttershy continues to be better than she's been in years, and I did like the Smooze in itself. But most of the episode was just unbearably uncomfortable to watch.

@Last

I don't follow. That could be because I've done almost nothing but equations for the past 3-4 days, so everything is just numbers to me at the moment.

Edit: I don't see in color. I see in calculus.

IIRC, Puerto Rico's flag was made AFTER Cap's first appearance.
Capitan first appeared in 1941. Current Puerto Rico's flag was adopted in 1952

Incorrect. It's existed since 1892.

wikipediablargle:
According to other accounts on June 12, 1892, Antonio Vélez Alvarado was at his apartment at 219 Twenty-Third Street in Manhattan, when he stared at a Cuban flag for a few minutes, and then took a look at the blank wall in which it was being displayed. Vélez suddenly perceived an optical illusion, in which he perceived the image of the Cuban flag with the colors in the flag's triangle and stripes inverted. Almost immediately he visited a nearby merchant, Domingo Peraza, from whom he bought some crepe paper to build a crude prototype. He later displayed his prototype in a dinner meeting at his neighbor's house, where the owner, Micaela Dalmau vda. de Carreras, had invited José Martí as a guest. Martí was pleasantly impressed by the prototype, and made note of it in a newspaper article published in the Cuban revolutionary newspaper Patria, published on July 2 of that year. Acceptance of the prototype was slow in coming, but grew with time. Francisco Gonzalo Marín, who decided to have a proper flag sewn based on the prototype, presented the new flag's design in New York's "Chimney Corner Hall" a gathering place of independence advocates two years later. The Puerto Rican Flag (with the light blue triangle) soon came to symbolize the ideals of the Puerto Rican independence movement.[16]

Is it a giant picture or something? Not sure about anyone else but neither the image or URL really wants to load.

Also watching Highschool of the dead on Hulu with a friend, I've seen it before but I wanted to show a friend how ridiculous it was. Does Hulu censor a lot of shows? It's not that big a deal it's just so blatantly obvious I find it much more distracting than the thing they're censoring.

Spoiler:
^Anyone for Norwegian prog metal? Got some awesome bass playing. Very energetic song.

Other news, I now have a cassette tape for my car, because I secretly live in the twentieth century still. No longer am I tied to the local radio stations' whims. Also, some people still make cassette tapes for their albums. This is kind of strange.

@Icy

AFAIK they sound worse, usually, compared to high quality digital stuff. Definitely different sounding to some degree; the artifacts and mechanical sounds will be different.

I'm not really that surprised to see bands doing it tbh - well, not surprised black metal bands are doing it, anyway, as they're somewhat traditional. Hell, Dead's application to Mayhem was supposedly a demo tape, a letter, and a crucified mouse. Anway, I guess the cassette has a sort of mythical, lo-fi, DIY air about it - less "classy" than a record, but similarly engaged by a certain (hipster-ish) aesthetic. I can see the appeal - like I've said before, IIRC, one of the reasons I liked V/H/S was its drawing, intentional or not, from this cultural current. It's an anti-social, anti-polish, anti-narrative movie... when it's at its best, at least.

But in my case my car just doesn't have a CD player or USB port or anything like that, so, yeah, gotta use cassettes.

Well, finally managed to see Perturbed Maxwell, and it was definitely worth it. It managed to portray several surprisingly positive themes rather cleanly and unobtrusively into the spectacular (in the literal sense--it was rather artistic in the visuals, gruesome and bizarre as they often were) action sequences. Overall, pretty damn solid
